Hey (attorney here) I bet your district/circuit court has a “probation” program for traffic tickets, like where you pay 1/2 the ticket fee and if you don’t get a ticket in 6 months it disappears from your record. It’s shocking to me how many people don’t know about this where I live/work. Not sure on your jurisdiction (I’d check for you if I knew where you got the ticket), but look into it!

@Marina KZbin is not explicitly a social media platform. Nothing he says in his videos invites discourse, he holds regular meet-ups, and always takes time to speak with viewers if they see him out and about, which is more that you’ll get from most KZbinrs in his bracket. Yes KZbin is a volatile career, but he is a mortgage free home owner in his mid 20s and makes a fortune on merch sales and brand deals. He’d have a comfortable life even if he quit KZbin now, he’s fine continuing as he is and if he needs to find another occupation in the future then so be it

Hi Mav! I mounted my diesel heater (and pump) under my car, between the rear tires. And yes, even though it is outside of the vehicle, I still hear it at night. But as it is a regular constant sound it doesn't bother me and although it could seem annoying, well.. you'll get used to it 😀
@MastaSquidge
@MastaSquidge 2 жыл бұрын
Mav. I cannot recommend the "afterburner" diesel heater controller from Ray Jones in Australia highly enough. I've purchased 3 of them so far. Two for heaters and a third as a spare just in case he stops selling them. The additional level of control is phenomenal. the biggest selling point is the ability for it to automatically adjust the fuel pump rate to meet demand instead of needing to manually adjust it or use the heater in the default high-low mode which overheats small spaces.
@peacewarrior9500
@peacewarrior9500 2 жыл бұрын
u can control the fuel pump pulse rate using the original controller, it just takes a bit more programming, and the benefit doesn’t really outweigh the haggle. Only advantage i see with afterburner is as IoT device to control ur heater from anywhere thru internet, which is an overkill for a camper!
@MastaSquidge
@MastaSquidge 2 жыл бұрын
@@peacewarrior9500 no. You can set a fixed pump rate that stays where you put it. If the temperature drops at night the output of the heater stays the same and the temperature inside drops until you wake up and increase the pump speed. The afterburner will run it up and down as needed to maintain a stable temperature automatically. The Chinese controllers cannot do this.
@MapleMarmite
@MapleMarmite 2 жыл бұрын
I take it I’m right in thinking you can’t convert a non remote control heater to be remote and then use one of the controllers you recommended? Or is there a wired version available? I didn’t prioritize a remote version when I got mine as the wired heater control is always within reach in my set up. Edit; Just searched it and got the answer. Looks like it will will as I have one of the compatible controllers on it already. I think it might be more complicated than my limited tech abilities can cope with, though.
@MastaSquidge
@MastaSquidge 2 жыл бұрын
@@MapleMarmite it can't be done like that, no. It's really simple to set up. The manual makes it seem far worse than it is. 95% of what's in the manual you'll never need. There's also a good Facebook group full of info to help with anything you need. And it only works with certain main boards in the heaters so if you're interested you'll need to check the manual for compatibility before buying one. Ideally before even buying the heater.
@peacewarrior9500
@peacewarrior9500 2 жыл бұрын
@@MastaSquidge You’re right, the pulse rate can be changed to a fixed value, in order to conserve fuel, not necessarily fine-tune the thermostat. But either way, i still think the afterburner is an overkill for a camper!

Dude, the new setup is bad ass, so much more functional. Like you said about the air fryer, probably better to cook the food in seperate layers onions and veg, than meat, than add the crispy taters and cheese. I'm really happy you went ahead and made the changes to your setup! Also, yes I am def interested if you wouldnt mind making a video about your battery setup, im contemplating doing something similar with my F150, I dont need power for heat but maybe a portable A/C or a nice fan because I live in the south where its more tropical than anything else. I would definitely like to power a laptop, and air fryer for sure. was thinking about getting one of those all in one ninjas like foresty has in his setup. anyway, if you wouldnt mind, im very interested. take care and stay safe.

I can see that it's already a setup you're gonna feel comfortable in :-) About the table, how about attaching a swivel table? In a couple of van build videos that I saw, the table leg can also come apart along with the table top so that you can put it away if not in use.

Tator tot hotdish! Variation from my Norwegian grandma who lived in Tracy, MN, onions, celery browned with ground beef, then add a can of Busch's baked beans, a drained can of sliced water chestnuts, mix with Cream of Celery soup (don't add any extra water or milk), mix well, put frozen tots on top, add a couple slabs of butter, then bake at 350' for abt 45 minutes, make sure tots are crisped. Even better for leftovers next day if there are any. Enjoy your new set up Mav!

My truck shell arrives in the next few weeks - mid rise like yours. I'm definitely liking this style of build with the ability to sit up like that. I look forward to your continued adventures with it, especially any adjustments you might make as you use it more, and to getting out there myself.

I love these, you inspired me to do a custom build instead of just an air mattress in the back, definitely a lot to learn, but it would be amazing to know how you did the dual battery setup with the isolator, been thinking about that for a minute. Cheers from Michigan!
