I know it's been 4 years, but if you still have it, would you consider doing a more detailed video of the sling? Thanks.

Great video! Any chance that you will make a video or post a blog entry with the details on your home made custom sling? I'd be very interested in doing something similar. Thanks in advance!

Great video and summary Matthew. You were already an excellent shooter, came with an open mind and implemented what was talked about. Congratulations on obtaining your Rifleman patch. BZ!

Thank you for all the hard work! What a great course you guys put on.

It looks like you prepared well: that sling is great, SK Standard definitely takes ammo accuracy out of the equation, and the shooting prior probably really helped with knowing your kit was good to go. Most rifles on a Mapleseed line end up with vet wrap and pipe insulation on them to build up the cheek rest, so it probably looked like all the rest.

@@Huntinggearguy Thank you! Yes, many rifles ended up looking like mummies with the tape. It was effective, function over form!

Congrats on your Rifleman. I shot my first Project Mapleseed event last year also but I didn't make my rifleman score until the last MQT. Great video for anybody thinking about checking out Project Mapleseed.

Thanks, I wish I'd done a Mapleseed sooner!

Using a sling definitely improves off hand shooting. Congratulations on shooting score. Are you going to take a hat at your next event? Some one needs to step up. If you can make it down to Eastern Ohio/Western Pennsylvania for a seed would be glad to meet you. If you don’t want to travel with rifles loaners can be arranged. Hope to see you on the trail. My AS forum name is the same cryptic one as here if you have questions.

Good job. I did the Mapleseed course last year and was just a few points short of the rifleman patch. I am scheduled to take the course again in August. I looked everywhere for 1.25 sling strapping and none was found except Amazon and I never got the order after many months so I gave up looking. lol

Awesome, which range are you taking it at?

Can you do the day with only 2 mags? I've got a Tikka and I don't want to purchase more mags if I don't need them. Thanks for the video.
@Womfat Жыл бұрын
Yup, 2 mags will get you through no problem. Just make sure at least one of them is a 10rd mag.

2 question 1. what is the distance? 2. what kind of equipment check i.e.. trigger pull gun weight also are shooting gloves permitted 3. With ORSPS and CRPS do you use shooting classifications by score?
@Womfat3 жыл бұрын
The distance is 25 meters, no limitations on rifle unless specified by hosting ranges, not sure about shooting gloves. It is not scored relative to others, your qualification score is just for the rifleman accomplishment.

Thank you for this video. I would like to take the course and this has inspired me to take it. Can you remember what the timing for each stage was?
@Womfat4 жыл бұрын
First stage is standing 10 rounds 2 min, second stage is kneeling 10 rounds with a reload in 55 seconds, third stage is prone 10 rounds with a reload in 55 seconds, fourth stage is prone 10 rounds in 5 minutes

@@Womfat congrats on the qualification. Can I ask one last question? What is the height of target in the last row. Want to get as close to real life as I can. Going to use this information along with the baseline target. Thank you in advance

It’s about 46mm tall and the ten zone is about 16mm tall. Just measured it with a ruler lol
