My First Race. Silverstone Roadsports. Integra DC5 Type R.

Firstly, thank you to the guys that got me out into qually and through the day, massive big up, respect and thanks. Secondly, I had a great time, seriously, racing is a whole different thing. However, my first ever race didn't exactly go to plan, due to bad planning on my part. We almost didn't make qually due to my lack of prep. A small army of essential helpers (Dad, Joe, Josh, Dan, Ray, Jake & Ben) finished the remaining jobs on the car and we got out to set the tyre pressures and complete the mandatory 3 laps to allow us to race, leaving us on the back row of ClassB. Then I started my first race... insert video.

I'm always impressed with this guy Kevin, he doesn't overdrive he's just smooth and drives to the limit. One of the best ever handling Dc5 I've seen as well.

Yea, rough with the smooth. This type of racing is club level, it wouldn't be classed as pro am. The next race is mid October, I'm looking forward to it!

Nice. Unlucky with that extinguisher pin. Pace was strong. Your corner speed is in the class above. Look forward to seeing you on a tighter, twistier circuit! Why did most cars dive into the pits after the restart?

Thanks, the car will be faster next time out for sure, it's currently underpowered and overweight! RE the pits, we were under safety car conditions so it makes sense to get the mandatory stop done while the field is at a reduced pace.

Thanks man, appreciate it! The car hasn't changed much from a track car, aside from the installation of safety items required for racing. The regs are fairly open, the classes are based on power to weight, with my class being 240/per ton. I'm not near the limit yet, but I have plans for less kg and more power/tq.
