My first rayman game

Today I'm telling you a little story of how I got in the Rayman series.

My first ever rayman game was rayman origins, my cousin introduced me to it but I remember brushing it off as some random Mario clone. Oh boy I was wrong

My first experience with Rayman Arena (or more specifically, Rayman M) was the PC version, when I found the Rayman 10th Anniversary for like $5. Since I'm in Canada, we had the European release instead of the American one for some reason, so it was called Rayman M and I was kinda confused why I never heard about it, before learning it was called Rayman Arena on every other consoles. To this day, it's so weird that the GC / Xbox version was so different compared to the PS2 / PC version, especially since NO ONE knew about those and they didn't even had Rayman games prior to it. The game itself is... fine I guess, I just think it's kinda boring and it was clearly released as a stopgap between Rayman 2 and Rayman 3, that wouldn't release for another year and a half in Europe. I would've preferred if they went all out on the racing aspect or all-out on the combat aspect, the released product is just a weird mix of two unfinished ideas. While the PS1 version is clearly a bad port, it at least kept the best part, the races, and added a few modes compared to the PS2 (that were reused on the GB / Xbox version released later), so it's not totally bad.

im the person who first played the ds version of rayman raving rabbids (2d platformer, uses the same concept as the cancelled rayman 4, uses the rayman 2 engine)

One thing I always liked about Rayman Arena (or M, as my version is called), was that the maps felt like an expansion of the world of Rayman 2, with pirate bases and forest temples

my first rayman game was rayman 3 hd on my ps3 yes i’m young but i’m still proud but the thing is rayman 3 is my favourite game in the whole world

my first Rayman game was Rayman 2 on PS1. I’ve played at my granny’s house. not sure you’ll like that port because most people hated that port.

Hyperness: "Yup, I started this series on Rayman Arena of all things." Me: "HA! .. Oh you're serious?"😯 Well, we gotta start somewhere right? My first Rayman game growing up as I had the N64 back then, along with a PS1 but the one I got was the N64 version of Rayman 2! Yup. Ah the memories... of having to leave the game on even all night until I finished the game cause for the N64 version you needed a memory pak to save the progress. Good times.😎 I have the PS2 version (Classic download on PS3) of Arena but yeah I do agree the GameCube version is the better of the pack. I have Revolution also as a Classic PS2 download on PS3 and I will say it was my favourite version after the N64 version, though it was until I finally played the Dreamcast version. That became #1 but the N64 version will always be #1 in my heart, growing up with it and having a grand old time playing through it without a memory pak. And no, Rayman 1 is not very difficult. I can get through the game just as easily as anyone else can, but we can't deny there are some tricky platforming especially in Band Land and Picture City. Great music too! Sucky thing though my Saturn version of the game doesn't want to work. It doesn't launch the game but it can go to the Audio CD part and play music.😒

how i met rayman was in 2017 i picked up random games one was rayman legendes then i loved it 1 year later i seen a rayman game in my cousin old games and it was origins so i installed it and later in 2019 i was searching for ds games and i found rayman ds that is rayman 2 port on ds i played the game and i never even compeleted level 1 game was hard for me and with ds controls in 2019 i searched up for more rayman games and i found raving rabbids i never find wii version rom and pc version wasnt working so i played ds version so i didnt know game is a mini game collection arena didnt download untill 2022 when i found out it have a pc version also i played rayman 1 in pc and rayman 2 all consoles and finally i found a website have rayman 3 downloadable and rayman 3 is my favorite to this years i never finished legends cause i lost game disc i bought but in 2022 i got a trip to my other cousin house and i just seen he said to me do you rember rayman legend and i said yes and he showed me he have it now on his ps4 so we compelted it so i compeleted all of them i play every rayman 4 prototype that just people found

Okay, my first Rayman game is ...... *Excited drum sounds effects* Rayman 2 (N64 version) but yeah that's my first Rayman game and this might be a controversial but I didn't like Rayman 1 as much as Rayman 2 i just doesn't really like 2D Rayman as much the 3D Rayman games Edit: i play rayman 2 N64 on a emulator cause i have no console at all (i have a broken ps 2 but 2-3 years ago when it still works it has no rayman game 😢😢)
