My First Reaction To Måneskin's 'The Lonliest': An Italian Rock Band

They have some great rock songs! From their new album, try Mark Chapman (it's in Italian) or Gasoline (the heaviest). From their previous album, released just after their Eurovision win in 2021, try In Nome del Padre, Lividi Sui Gomiti, or For Your Love (very classic rock sound). Even their more pop-leaning songs have a rock sound, especially when they play live.

This is their first Rock ballad in English, and pretty good. I saw them live in Florida in December where they mostly played up tempo Rock and Hard Rock, and were exceptional live. They do beautiful ballads in Italian. English Rock numbers are For Your Love, I Wanne Be Your Slave, and Gasoline. Also some pop Rock on the new album is good like Baby Said and Gossip Italian hard Rock In Nome Del Padre, and Zitti E Buoni are standouts

@@JenniferTakes 7000 other people and us at The Hard Rock in Hollywood (Miami/Fort Lauderdale Area). These guys are very good live, crazy energy, and tend toward more of a Rock band performance with the guitars front and center, extended solos, and stage diving a few times. Also the pop songs were more edgy. I was quite surprised by the age of the crowd, a lot of persons in the 30-50yo group, some kids and even seniors. The fans knew all the songs, including the four Italian numbers they played.

their newest single is Gossip, and it's a rock song, featuring Tom Morello! But for harder rock songs, from their new album, I would pick Kool Kids, Gasoline, Mark Chapman (this last one is in italian)

I would not consider Mark Chapman as a “harder” rock song, but it is good, and Kool Kids is more punk and not so good, although I liked it a little better when I saw them do it live. La Fine is a slightly harder sound. The new album is more pop-rock than the last with a couple punk songs tossed in, and 3 ballads in English Baby Said looks like it is the most popular of the previously unreleased songs, and sounds much more Rock when they do it live.

my favourite of theirs is the ballad (yes, I know, a ballad again) Coraline... it's in Italian, so get the version with English subtitles.. it has a pretty good guitar solo, but what really stands out is the depth and importance of the lyrics. It's a bit of a tearjerker.

I love thzt they do a mix of balads and harder rock. They recently performed one of the new songs, aka Baby Said, from the new album on the late late show.

If you like ballads then you should listen to Coraline , the best rock ballad around . But you have to read the translation of the lyrics at the same time as listening because the lyrics give it twice the meaning. It's a masterpiece IMHO! Check it out , bye ,bye !

Their new song Mark Chapman although in Italian is a great rock song. The song is about stalkers as the singer Damiano had a stalker and had to move because they found out where he lived. Also a fun one is Gossip that features a solo by Tom Morello from RATM.

Mark David Chapman is the killer of John Lennon, therefore, the stalker of person not part of the måneskin, they were not born yet.

Their live versions of "Baby Said" in the Late Late show or "Gossip" in the Jimmy Fallon Show (feat. Tom Morello) are very nice. My favorite are "For Your Love" (Live at 1LIVE WDR, 11.08.2021) and Coraline (in Italian) Live in the Sanremo Festival

It is a shame and at the same time you are lucky that you don’t know many of their songs, there is a heaven waiting for you out there somewhere you just need to discover it. Their most beautiful song is CORALINE but you will need to read the lyrics translation while you listen.. I would say the same to an Italian friend who doesn’t know any English, if he listened to Bohemian Rapsody: the meaning is too important as it gets along with the music and mood

You have lots of other rock rock songs to listen to. Take a full entire album and listen it from top to bottom. Their last album Rush have fancy lyrics videos for all the song. If you want pure old style rock, listen to the album Teatro d'Ira Volume 1.

Сложная песня... Пожалуй , единственная, исполняемая на сцене не вполне удачно ( по моему мнению!) - слишком близко к записи и поэтому , будто немного холодно. А ведь Дамиано говорил, что эти стихи, как и другие на последнем альбоме, достаточно личные, откровенные... Но , слишком сильная, хоть и высокого уровня , обработка этого альбома, мне кажется, усложнила живое исполнение ! Но всё же , песни уже звучат, разнообразно и энергично, на концертах, и только Loneliest, медленная , эмоциональная, хоть и красива ,но, помоему, всё же требует какой-то ( умной и осторожной!) импровизации , изменения. Но это только группе решать, естественно, думаю, увидем со временем, что будет с этой песней, будут ли перемены... Спасибо за реакцию, МИР☮️!
