I feel bad when u mosly only eat nasi goreng as an indonesian dish.. we have more than that..😁 try babi guling(pig roast), ayam betutu(chicken),nasi campur(mix rice) in bali, gudeg in yogya, gado2(salad), nasi padang, martabak(pancake) etc... u miss out a lot 😋

A new place which I’ve become actually obsessed with is Pizza Cult in Ubud. Amazing food, great service, such a cute venue and really affordable. Also a great place to bring your laptop and work from!

Just piece an advice, try to ask locals at your stays before going anywhere, about price or location, to avoid you get scams.

Look for babi guling and lawar (they usually come as a package). That's balinese food. You can ask local for best place. But Warung Ibu Oka seems to be a safe bet. I mean, it's the most popular in the center of ubud. Oh... and someone mentioned betutu chicken (ayam betutu). That's a must too. And... for street food scene, go to the center of Gianyar (it's about 20 minutes ride or less), pasar malam gianyar (night market, yea so go around 7pm maybe). All the foods (balinese, javanese, padang, etc) in one place.

You should not miss to watch Kecak Dance in Uluwatu. It’s very beautiful traditional dance from Bali, you won’t find it elsewhere! And the show is always on sunset, so not only the dance but you can enjoy the ocean view. I guarantee you won’t regret it❤

Go to Cozy spa at batu belig. Best massage ever. Stop eating nasi goreng 😂 and get Balinese roasted suckling pork (babi guling). Any of the famous ones would do fine. Have fun in bali 🤙🏼

for indonesians, bali is known for being friendly to international tourists but bad to domestic tourists. a lot of stories of domestic tourists being treated unfairly by balinese especially if they're moslems. bali also rejected the proposal of bridge construction between java and bali cause they say it will bring "bad luck" to balinese, which is so rude considering how many balinese migrate, study and work in java (since bali's economy is super tiny only make 2,77% of Indonesia's total economy while java's economy is the largest which make 57,27% of the country's total economy and economic growth of bali has been below the national average so the portion of bali's economy is just getting smaller and smaller). as an indonesian somehow i feel like balinese people are racist towards other indonesians especially javanese, and it will even get worse if you're a javanese moslem. as a javanese moslem myself, i have blacklisted bali, but i'll give it a last visit since i have a promise to take my mom there but that'll be the very last time i step my foot on that island. if i need a vacation, i'd just explore java or go straight to lombok, or labuan bajo, or any other interesting places as Indonesia is so much more than just bali.

As Sulawesi person (Bugis) i agree. If i want a vacation i would prefer Lombok rather than Bali. Idk why but alot of Balinese nowadays shows their hatred towards muslims, eventho in Sulawesi there are alot of Balinese who are migrating and live here, but they also against others Indonesians especially muslims to come to Bali. Not to mention they feel superior than other indonesians only because their island got visited by alot of foreigners LOL, . I also would never come to Bali for Idul Fitri vacation anymore, Lombok is more welcoming anyway .

From terror , pick pockets,robs,stealing,drugs,prostitution and scams! So do assumed without the caused! Balinese is the most tolerated people on earth ! You even find many mosques in majority Hindu islands! Stop preaching heaters to strangers! Stop sending false information without understanding what people’s here in bali are offered!

while you in bali, you should try to visit the island next to bali. try visit gili, lombok island, and also you should go to labuan bajo. Jl. its mean Jalan (street), Jl. Monkey Forest its mean Monkey Forest Street :D. but jalan can also mean walk.

You have to be careful with the monkeys in Ubud they are sometimes very aggressive and grab all the things you have and they see them and then they take them away sometimes they throw them away until they break

Don't go vegan in Bali, because you must try Balinese grilled pork (Babi Guling) and grilled chicken (Ayam Betutu). About that flag patch, that would be difficult to find unless you can spot a clothing shop that specifically sell scouts' uniforms (Pramuka), then you might find a small patch of flag there. Also, be aware of naughty monkeys around Ubud as some might snatch your things and run away with it. Oh, right, don't show all your cash in public, get a wallet! 😂😂 enjoy your trip in Bali 😉
