I mean, I won’t spoil, but you can’t exactly appeal to my first experience with these games to do that. For my first KH playthrough I used a guide book, with KH2 I looked up the cutscenes on KZbin out of order, and every game after that I watched the Japanese trailers which spoil most of the game.

I really appreciate the editing on this episode, it really hit the sweet spot of making me feel like I’m not missing out too much from the live stream or like some other edited live streams I’ve seen where it’s pretty much all cutscenes and very little gameplay and cut enough to where it’s constantly engaging.

Loved this so much! The options you chose in the beginning actually alter the level up path and rewards for some early bosses, so the path you chose ended up not giving you dodge roll until after traverse town which made it more challenging but it will be easier moving forward probably. PS theres a ton of secrets to find in this game. So excited for this. Your Donald Duck impression was hilarious hahah

I’m going to sub and watch just because I really enjoy watching people navigate this series for the first time. Can’t wait to see all your reactions especially as you progress through the whole saga. And if no one else told you, your chosen weapon determines your stats and how you learn abilities, while the starting questions determine your leveling path. Dawn - easy leveling to 50 then harder, midday - balanced leveling, dusk - harder leveling to 50 then easier.

I recommend you press ESC to go to the game settings and change the confirm button to Circle on PS controller(B button on Xbox controller). It is the button layout the game was designed around as Circle and Triangle are the 2 main combo buttons. It will make a lot of the combat more intuitive as it tends to be vague in KH2.

Why have I never heard of this gaming channel?! I discovered you with the song Legends Never Die but I didn't expect a gaming channel! In any case, Kingdom Hearts has been my favorite game ever. It saved my life many times, especially with the music. I had the honor and the chance to meet Yoko Shimomura, official Kingdom Hearts competitor and it was just incredible. Awe hell yeah. I played kh growing up. My first game was Days, then re chain of memories (quit halfway through), kh2, finished rechain, KH1, BBS, recoded, then kh3. I was never involved with the fan base until this past year when jahara jades playthrough was randomly recommended to me. I've been watching her playthrough and checking out others ever since! The series has a huge spot in my heart.

My biggest word of advice for this game as a 1st time player.. IS TO EXPLORE! Try jumping onto platforms, when you read the text given by signs and npcs, those usually are hints for you to do certain actions so as to complete something or earn a prize/treasure! Also don't be afraid to think out of the box, there is an incredibly vast amount of attention to details in this game, if you see something interesting or your thoughts suddenly become "Hm wonder if I can make something happen or react with X action," like a spell or attack. Orher than that, I won't give any REAL hints behind the things you find in the game. Have fun, and I hope you enjoy it to the fullest~

So, your 1st 3 choices of weapon to keep and to lose, will change your leveling and upgrades through play through. You chose sword and lost shield. So your abilities will be all fighting upgrades and you will not receive guard till later on in play through. The last 3 questions from the kids dictate how fast you’ll level up in the 1st 40 levels and then till the end. Your midday answer means you’ll just have a balanced run through not leveling to fast or slow. Enjoy, this is my all time favorite game.

Good Luck! You'll love the journey so much believe me.And you'll fall in love with it. And moments you'd get emotional happy bitter sweet. And it is amazing. And at times you will find it confusing. But for me now it might actually be making somewhat sense by the point you get further to where kingdom hearts is now also games from the past. But just means they have a lot to explore and explain better with the past and with the future and current present. But you will definitely love this game! So enjoy

If you're still curious what _exactly_ those choices you made at the start were: The weapon choice was you choosing the order your abilities would be unlocked. You chose the sword, so most offensive abilities will be unlocked earlier. You gave up the shield, which means most defensive abilities will come in later. The staff was left alone, so magic abilities will come in at a steady pace. The questions determined your EXP gain rate. You ended up with midday, which means steady EXP gain throughout the game!

Welcome to the world of Kingdom Hearts! I hope you enjoy the journey even if you don’t understand the story very well (I’m a HUGE KH fan and even I have trouble with understanding the story). The reason it feels nostalgic is because of the Disney theme. No matter what we’ve all seen the movies growing up even the older ones like Snow White, Cinderella, etc cause our parents had it on VHS or DVD and put it on for us as a kid or we saw it being shown on the Disney Channel.

How Sora ended up on Traverse Town? Traverse Town is a special world, a world that gathers those who's hearts were strong enough to survive their worlds being consumed by darkness. Destiny Islands were consumed by darkness, the location of the other final fantasy character, Tidus, Wakka and Selphie, is unknown but surely they survived, Sora, Riku and Kairi also surived to the darkness, but Riku and Kairi ended on another world.

1:33:00 I just realized... The Worlds have been connected. Its supposed to be a Secret that there are other Worlds out there... but they have been connected... by Square Enix and Disney.... The three choices to each question actually determine your levelling speed throughout the game. Since you start at "midday", that means you'll have a balanced levelling speed throughout. I'm playing through this the first time as well, and this is how I started out as well (though I chose "being indecisive" as my answer for the last question and still got the same result).

Kingdom Hearts legitimately didn't get confusing until after Days/BbS/Coded. It was a bit convoluted for sure - but it didn't go off the rails like it did in the era after BbS/before KH3.

it is very overwhelming, but I promise you it's a very rewarding and fun experience! I started with 1.5 Remix (it's an updated version of the first game), then Chain of Memories, 2.5 Remix, 358/2 Days and we're onward to Birth by Sleep next. You can do it!
