This is my favorite live-action depiction of vampires to date. This movie is underrated, despite the plot pacing issues. A sequel would've been amazing!

This movie was great and a classic, extremely underrated. They could’ve made a universe based on this. He would’ve been the Ironman of this dark cinematic universe. I think this movie was so underrated that they could bring him back for a sequel and still use it as the backbone for a dark universe.

Honestly if they can they should rebrand it into a live action castlevania prequel film. It’s pretty much castlevania: lords of darkness the game to some extent. Hell I’m surprised Hollywood hasn’t acquire castlevania Righrs since that’s sequel fuel pretty much with the Belmont family.

This is tied favorite for me alongside Bram Stokers. After that we have the OG black and white and Christopher Lees movie tied and in 3rd/5th place depending on how you look at it is Mel Brooks. I love them all (except Lees sequel with the hippies), but this sits comfortably at the top. Also there's Dracula 2000, but there's a reason nobody talks about it.

"This is a weird predicament though. Your boss is the prince of darkness..." 🤣🤣🤣 This movie is wild and I really enjoy a lot of it. Exploding into bats? Hell yes! Drac single(bat)handedly defeating an army? Double hell yes! If they hadn't dropped the ball so hard on The Mummy, Dracula Untold could have been the start of a cool Universal Monsters revival. Lotta good vampire media out there. For some foreign suggestions you might never have heard of - We Are The Night, a very stylish German vampire movie Nightwatch and Daywatch. A pair of vampire adjacent supernatural films out of Russia. Try to find the original Russian version with dynamic English subtitles if you can.

Like legit with changes. End scene no modern day. Jump tens to hundred years later, vlad/Dracula chilling in his castle and sense someone enter his grounds. Looks out and see someone wearing a clock. Wind pushes cloak away fo reveal and emblem on his jacket and whip on belt and set up castlevania movie. Turn Charles dance character into Death that plays key role in castlevania series with his involvement with Dracula.

Only thing I didn't like about this movie is that it only takes a basic understanding of physics to realize that Drac would have caught her. She was spread-eagled in a big flowing dress. He was pointed straight down, with his arms and legs tucked in, using VAMPIRE POWERS to accelerate towards her. He would have caught her or shot past her.

This was a good movie. It got a ton of hate and idk why. I thought it was good. Perhaps people held it to some standards, That we dont know. Yes there are some cheesy moments but that's all vampire movies. I think it is welcome! and too a degree it pay respects to all vampire movies from the past. They were super cheesy... If that makes sense idk.

I am Turkish I know this is a vampire movie not an actual history but still i dont like this version of Dracula disgracing my people. When the Catholic Hungarians invaded Orthodox Romania, the Romanian king were looking for an alliance with the Ottoman Empire. To celebrate this alliance, the Romanian king gave 2 princes, so they could educate themselves in one of the world's best education cities, Edirne. The Romanian king were holding on to the oldest son, because he would become the next Romanian king. Time passed and Mehmet the 2nd became the Ottoman sultan in Edirne. The Catholic Hungarians invaded Romania again, and this time they captured the Romanian king and his oldest son. The king and the son were tortered, blinded and buried alive. When Mehmed heard about this, he went to his childhood friend Vlad, and gave him several thousand Janissaries, so that Vlad could avenge his father. When Vlad came to Romania, he was captured by the Catholic Hungarians. The Hungarian king, who had brutally killed his father and older brother, asked if Vlad would become a subject working for him. Vlad accepted the deal and started to kill innocent villagers, who were most often women and children. Vlad was even getting money from the Pope, in Rome, to continue with his genocide. There are reports Vlad sent to the Pope, which are still open for public in Rome today. When Mehmed heard about this, he gave some Janissaries to Vlad's brother, Radu the handsome (he was famous among the girls in Istanbul, hence the name). Radu took back the throne of Romania. When Vlad was killed, his body parts were sent to the capital, and put on the city walls (the only time Ottoman Empire did this). The reason Vlad is connected to vampirism is because he used to drink red wine from the skulls of innocent children. Some even say that he drank blood from freshly cut heads. More interestingly, this guy is considered a national hero in Romania, when in fact he betrayed the Romanian nation and his family by working for the murderer of his family and his people.

Has the Turkish dude forgotten the genocide perpetrated on the Armenians in the early part of the 20th century? 🤔 No wonder many Europeans don't want his country in the EU.

@@mikelarsen5836 in the world war 1 and aftermath, Turks fight against Greece, Italy, France, Armenia, Britain in their homeland, many turks killed brutally by them, but turks call it war. Not a genocide, because they are nation. They are real nation with real civilization. Not a crying baby for not getting enough land from sinking empire and call it genocide. Today Indias second national language is English, many African nations only talks French, because they were colonised and treated as non-human by EU. out of 52 countries once were part of ottomans, no country has seen genocide from Turks for 600 years and what you saying is just like this movie, altering the reality to feel better, while the reality stays as blood sucking psyco prince is punished by Ottoman Empire and Wallachia become ottoman land for centuries to come after vlad.
