Fantastic job Will, you can definitely see the difference on camera. I can only imagine how good it looks in person. Keep up the awesome work 💪🏽

Highly recommend Meguiar's 210 and 110 compounds for the first time you actually try paint correcting. Looks like you got the technique down, I bet you could do that easy peazy. Microfiber pads for your DA would be best, but those pads you already have will work totally fine.

Nice video Will! I’ve been professionally detailing for 4 years now, and I have to say, you didn’t do too bad for your first time! I remember the first times I had to buff and polish, shaking because I was so scared😂 With that being said, I applaud you for jumping right in! Keep it up, you can only get better! Thanks for the Videos and God bless!

Nice👍🏼, when i clean my CE i used carnauba car soap and after that i use either Turtle Wax or a Polish compound when i have a car meet or something important.

Not bad. You should be doing four full passes, instead of two. The results will be even better with the light-cut pad.

Hey Will, love the video! You actually did really well. There are a few things I would've done differently but nonetheless this is actually solid work especially for your first time 👌🏼 1) I would split the clay bar into 4 equal tears and then mold out a quarter of it to about the width of your hand instead of using the entire bar. (You can use that 4th on the whole car) 2) I would've advised for a DA (dual action) polisher rather than a rotary because rotaries are pretty challenging and aggressive machines that can be tough to handle especially for beginners so I kinda clenched my teeth when you mentioned the rotary but I'm pleasantly surprised you didn't burn through any paint so great work. They also have a tendency to leave behind what we call "rotary trails" or marks left from the machines aggressiveness if not held or used right. They're just really annoying and DAs are more user friendly and safer while still promising top tier results. 3) I would've used a cutting compound instead of a 3-in-1 wax product. Those products are usually designed for light paint correction jobs that have a wax infused in it to leave behind protection which is great but in your scenario (old car, paint that has never been corrected before) some cutting compound would've cut better and given greater results. I like Griot's garage complete compound. And then you can apply a wax or sealant afterwards. Think of it like Jack of all trades master of none. That 3-in-1 won't correct all that much and won't leave behind that long lasting of a wax. Whereas a dedicated compound will cut great and a dedicated wax/sealant will protect for a good while. All in all you did a pretty good job and if you need any advice on the ceramic coating job when the time comes feel free to reach out to me whenever I'd be more than happy to help! :)
