I hope you guys enjoy, this was a really epic day out and I'm so glad I can bring you along for the adventure! Let me know where I should head next down bellow, as you now know, I get a lot of my routes off the back of your own comments! Thanks guys, Dave 😁🏕

Not gonna lie...this is the first one of your videos I've seen Dave. I reckon I've been missing out. A cracking little 'mission' there and even with a few hiccups, you did it all with enthusiasm and a big grin on your face. I've got some catching up to do on your back catalogue. You have a bright future ahead on KZbin.

Thanks Paul, that really means a lot coming from you pal 😁 It was awesome meeting you the other day, I look forward to some wild camping with you soon!! 🥳 Enjoy the back catalogue! I’d suggest starting with the Mont Blanc Trip!!👊

This is my back yard Paul and is all Wye catchment - my passion. I can see it from home and have camps on my channel from this area. All the best. Mark

I'm blown away David you didn't know about the Black Mountains. They've been there a long time. Now you've camped on the Black Hill - that was going to be one of my next camps. Good spot you found there. Facing Herefordshire it appears. You had a mission to get there alright. But you did it - hats off. That river by the way is the Olchon Brook. It flows into the Escley, which then flows into the Monnow and then on into the Wye. It's all Wye catchment and yeah beautiful. Well, take care out there. Mark

We love your positive attitude. It's great too to see places we've never heard of before either. Definitely Dartmoor and south west coast path are calling!

I only wild camp now in my camper, too old for it but enjoyed it when i was younger, need my slippers on now being 60, enjoy every moment as i did and respect to you for getting out and about and enjoying the great outdoors. I’m in the Yorkshire Dales this weekend doing Pen-Y-Ghent and Buckden Pike walks, the weather looks ace too 👌👍

That looked like so much fun! Besides forgetting the gas ofcourse. Lovely to see you doing new things. Hope you keep doing this and keep learning how to make it more comfortable for yourself. Also glad to see you remembered safety and let your friends and family know where you were. Awesome David!

Nice one David. I can recommend the area around Grindslow Knoll which has magnificent views facing the Great Ridge. Amazing to wake up to at 5am. Great memories of opening the tent, setting the stove off for morning coffee and just watching the sun rise.

I'll give this a look Rooster mate! I think I've passed through there before, but perhaps this could be a future wild camping spot! 😁

Hi David, Congrats on your first wild camp, the first of many more I hope! I've never been to the Black Mountains, it does look incredible. Good job you had spare gas in the car, one mistake you won't make again. It's all a learning curve. Loved your video. xx

That's one of best tips I have ever heard. .send the 'What 3 words' location to family and friends. Seems obvious, but nobody else has ever suggested doing it. Well Done 👍

Its really nice round there, I like going up from the car park down near Grwyne Fawr reservoir and up to Waun Fach, then doing a big loop round north past the Gospel Pass and Lord Herefords Knob (hehe!). Really great area, shame about the weather, but looks like you enjoyed it nonetheless.

Up there in those conditions, it's not other people that you need to worry about..... it's the weather. Make a spreadsheet of the gear and tick it off as you pack it.

Yes I’ve been working off of old notebooks for a while now but I need a proper list! So happy I managed to get the gas though! Cheers!

Ah my comment kept being deleted as I included a link 0:45 "Should be sunny throughout" 😂 You pulled through on my suggestion, aye (: glad to see you had a cracking time. For those considering this walk, there is a beauty of an airbnb within a 15min walk from the starting point. It's a lovely tipi on a private neck of someones woods. Searching 'The Little Wood Camp' should do the trick Side note, I think people in general really under appreciate the value of going on these kind of trips. People just don't have these unique experiences that most people desire having if they don't plan and book them. I find a lot of people fantasize about going on 'holiday' yet they can do a couple of times a month/year if they just get it planned and stuck in the calendar. You _appear_ to be living the life that so many people are actually able to live if they tried. Keep up the great work, your smashing it bro! - Sam

Class! Great adventure wouldn’t class this as a disaster me - all part of learning! Brill how you promote the safety tips (telling people your location etc) & of course, the leave no trace rule. Subbed! 👊🏽
