Getting 6th/88 and still losing $100 is wild. I’ve accepted that most tournaments nowadays are just for fun. Plus adding in the BFL registration fee of $95 to renew your membership. So if you look at everyone paying ≈$325 for this tournament, add in roughly all payouts, MLF still made $15,000 while angler payout was only about $13,650 for the boater side only. Co-angler side is worse. Co payout was roughly $7k for roughly $17,600 paid in @$200 for the first tournament ($110 entry fee plus $95 membership) Edit: but 6th/88 is awesome and you should be proud, money aside! Great job and great video!

Fishing these BFLs is for pure enjoyment, learning, and content. You are 100% right, monetarily there is no value in these events. The poker player inside of me screams at the terrible payout structure.

It’s sad as a tournament fisherman if you’re not winning almost every tournament or at least in the top 3 you will lose money.

your exactly right, he basically was the net guy lol, he probally learned his lesson, ffs makes co anglers handicapped

i was laughing when SB gave him a little ffs style bait to use, those baits are useless unless u see fish on ffs and jiggle in their face lol
@raydalton11109 ай бұрын
😂@@SBFishing
@Reelentlessbassfishing2 ай бұрын
@@raydalton1110 dumb ass comment.. I’ve caught tons of fish blind casting it. Also, he had every single dock to fish while he was fishing the open water. He wasn’t out in the middle where the guy couldn’t reach the bank so, if anything, it helped the co angler in this instance because Matt was fishing close enough to hit the entire shore but not really hitting it thoroughly…
@raydalton11109 ай бұрын
these live scope videos are boring, im surprised tourneys havent banned them yet, nothing personal against you SB but i have basically stopped watching this and other video game bass videos where people use a little jig head minnow to live scope a bass
@christianmullins4359 ай бұрын
As far as content goes, What is the difference between watching someone throw a minnow on livescope and watching someone drag a jig or throw a DD crank, nothing there is no difference, you are still just watching someone stand on the front of the boat in open water, and for FFS content is more entertaining especially when there is a recording of the graph so you can see it all happening
@raydalton11109 ай бұрын
good points but, its still imo way less entertaining watching ffs vs.the old school way, SB is a cool guy im not a hater i will still watch just for the fact he is fun to watch but i trully hate livescope in a tourney setting, if it was up to me heck all electronics be banned EXCEPT one unit for gps and depth for safety reasons and ZERO fish finders, now to me that would be more exciting@@christianmullins435

I literally caught all my fish in practice shallow, flipping docks, in under 6'. I had to make an adjustment to catch them because of the massive cold front that came through. As long as it's legal, and working, I'm absolutely 100% using it. Sorry you're not a fan of it, but I can almost guarantee the guy who won was doing the exact same thing. I'm tryin to win.
