In my opinion since i just got the Chieftain MK3 yesterday from my experience so far its the first British tank that actually has some reliable APDS rounds that dont constantly shatter your turret also is decently armored and the addable Shovel at the front is quite useful against heat rounds and is also able to save your live sometimes

Gigachad Chieftain, was my first top tier too, from the time there was no stabilizers and it's apds had 400mm flat pen

In 1.57 everyone was grinding for this tank since at the time it was the closest thing to a modern mbt, little did we know😂

The chieftain was my first "top tier" mbt too, I loved playing it so much but it's such a hopeless suffer bus now. I'll most likely never go back to playing it until gaijin either put it down in br or give it a laser rangefinder which it had irl.

It's not hopeless at all... epsecially Mk5 and nowadays with 10.3 black hole the Chief Mk10 on 9.0 BR which is just golden... since you won't face Leo's 2A4s it's still a great BR for the Mk10 to thrive in. These tanks were always about precise positioning - therefore map knowledge and defensive playstyle... it's not everyone's cup of tee, but those who know how to put the Chiefs into a great position like Kirshenbaum on the Maginot line, these things are well capable of holding the line, most of the time carrying an entire matches on their own... Considering the 8.3 - 8.7, 9.0 Brits are pretty loaded right now, with current matchmaking situation, it's the perfect time to play the Chiefs again. But like I said, it's not everyone's cup of tea and we all have different playstyles... I'm a british main, playing british ground since Royal Armor update, from a sole reason - I love british very own stylish and aesthetically pleasing designs and I had the Air tech tree already fully researched at the time :D Long story short, the point is - no matter what, I'm gonna put in the effort to learn those machines and make them work. And I totally get when people are just giving up on them since with british vehicles doesn't matter if aircraft or ground vehicles, there are always big catches and disadvantages. But let me tell you the victories are always very satisfying :D

@@jaroslavsoukal3224 The mk10 is def my favorite tank in game and irl. Its not for the rush down type of people but it fits my playstyle and I usually do pretty decent in it. plus they just look so nice.

Believe it or not I love this thing, I prefered it when it was 8.3 cus at downtiers it was so nasty but 8.7 ain't that bad!

it’s a cool tank but with the Mk.5 also at 8.7 there’s no reason to play the Mk.3 sadly

Just use the Mk.3 as a 2nd MBT spawn. Although the 8.7 line-up is pretty loaded.

@@Kwisss Yeah you can, but why not just use a backup for the Mk5 I really think it should 8.3 considering its outright worse than the Mk5

@@h.a8681 well honestly mk5 and mk3 doesnt change much from each other so why would u waste a backup when u can just get the basically slower version of essentially the same tank?
