Given my limited knowledge of patent law (I am not a lawyer), Harvey's 4.5in auto-repeating rocket launcher patent looks to be for the mechanical aspects of the weapon system and not for a whole vehicle. The fire control elements were likely filed under a separate patent, if one was ever filed by Harvey; I wouldn't expect a machinery company to file electrical engineering related patents.
@tablesizeproductions43605 ай бұрын
That would make a lot of sense actually. The guy on the Tank Encyclopedia Discord I talked to knew the guy who had the photos of the turret mockup as well as the documents stating it was intended for the M46 Patton. As for the fire control system, the funny thing is it has no other patents with it, so it seems that they may not have been able to get another firm to develop it in time.

The Harvey looks like an attempt for someone to make money on a wonder system, dazzling the customer with wow factor, trying to hide the fact that a cheaper solution already exists. In this case an MLRS would suffice. A 20 rocket rail system would likely be only a little bigger than the 20 round belt that was proposed. It would be longer but it would be more reliable, cheaper and more easily fitted to something like a truck. Your modeling is very impressive and is always good to see.

Finally, someone who states up front that the nuclear powerplant of the TV-8 was just a variant proposal and that the initial design called for a more conventional engine. Personally I prefer to talk about the design of the TV-8 without just harping on the “Chernobyl on treads” thing, especially since there’s little evidence that the nuclear option was ever seriously considered.

I suspect the repeated issues with T110 were caused by the american engineers failing to convert meters into potato units. Six times in a row. Good thing they had computers designed by Germans and able to convert units on the fly by the time they decided to do a Moon landing. Either that or there's an order to reward these men for their service to the Motherland somewhere in the soviet archives.

I HATE having ti pause the video every fucking 3 seconds so that I can read something, assuming it is important information relevant to what you’re saying, only for it to be a meme. I read pretty quickly too, but technical specs can slow that pace down a little bit so to only have something flashed for a femtosecond gets annoying after the quadrillionth time.
