My First Two Weeks of Using Tretinoin | Skin Peeling, Redness and Sensitivity Side Effects

One product that helped me immensely when starting Tretinoin was Krave Beauty’s Great Barrier Relief. That stuff works miracles for tretinoin dryness of the skin. Especially if you accidentally get a little tretinoin in the corner of your mouth causing a crack. The focus of the product is to fix moisture barrier issues. I don’t have that problem normally but it’s perfect to help your skin getting accustomed to tret. My tretinoin was formulated with a small bit of azelaic acid which helped prevent any redness. I buy mine through the company Hims.

Hey, Adam! I was surprised you started with a 0.05% tretinoin and not 0.025%, but if you've had experience with retinaldehyde then it shouldn't be a big deal. Yes, tret takes months to really show any change, especially when it comes to well-aging. Can't wait to see how your skin evolves 💖

Great video! 🌟So annoying that we can’t get tretinoin here on prescription, only formulas that also contain clindamycin or benzoyl peroxide…. and I don’t have acne. I purely want to use tret for ” well aging” purposes so I order it from India. Takes ages to arrive lol. I wish you a great weekend!💛

@@marksinfield1266 I have to look into that, thank you. Someone told me that tret is illegal in Sweden now and that importing it from another country could lead to fines..🤷🏻‍♀️ I hope noone catches me then ..lol.

Thanks for sharing your experience and showing the tube 😀 Now I know what to buy when I go to Italy) I bought my supply last year in Spain) as for the lips, mine still get dry after 2 years of Tretinoin. I use balms during the day, but at night I put a thick layer of Vaseline over my lips and it really helps)

I just started .025% tret gel on the 28th of March so only 8 days into it, I've got a bit of peeling under my nose on my Philtrum not too bad also a bit between my eyebrows. I've been applying the Aveeno sheer hydration lotion first as my face moisturizer then 10 minutes later applying a pea size amount of the tret gel. Been noticing my Skin aqua moisture gel gold sunscreen is drying out halfway throughout the day which it never did before.

Would love an update on your progress. I was on Tretinoin for 12 years then stopped for 2 years, decided to start it again 2 weeks ago. I’m at the purging stage at the moment😢
