Wow, thank you for show casing our beautiful Kenya. Beautiful shots. I think the sun was rising as you took the air balloon. There was a breathtaking orange hue over the Mara. The camp too was beautiful. Thank you.

We got back from our safaris in Kenya and Tanzania. By far, our favorite place was Massai Mara. Lots of animals. It was a wet season in Tanzania (Seregati), we saw lots of Wildebeest and lions mostly.

It rained a lot this year in Masai Mara! Jan supposed to be dry season in Masai Mara but rained everyday. From my contacts there, rain has stopped since 4 days ago.

We saw the Topi pride while we were in Masai Mara on several occasions. By far the biggest pride that we saw in Masai Mara and Serengeti!
@1stexecutiveconstruction11 ай бұрын
One year latter, Jan 2024 we went to Madi's Mara. Topi pride had split into 3 prides. No longer the huge pride of lions they used to be all together. They were 28 lions in the pride last year and this year they were all split! Marsh pride seamed like to have the hardest time. They lost several young cubs and only 2 left now! The main male lion being chased away by a group of 3 young males, from his territory. And those 3 males been killing all their cubs

It didn't look unbearably crowded in your video at the crossing- which month were you there at? I am planning to go myself this July/Aug for the migration, but I am completely flexible in time and feel very discouraged by videos of the crazy hordes of vehicles near the Mara river. Did you learn anything from your guide about how to avoid this but still stand a chance to see the migration?
@TheSafariExpert Жыл бұрын
We were there in August. Avoiding the crowds is difficult. I think we were just very lucky with ours.

I love visiting Arfrica and the Game Parks. I would love to visit the area you show, however, some of what you showed fills me with horror - the number of vehicles crowding to get the best viewing angles. Earlier this year we watched a David Attenborough TV series in which one episode showed how a cheetah family in the Mara was hounded by a mass of vehicles to the point the cubs were unable to eat and the family couldn't behave naturally because of all the tourists desperate to get the best views. It was really sad and completely put me off ever wanting to visit this area. The areas I have visited have strict limits on numbers which meant we watched and photographed lots of wildlife including plenty of lion, elephant, wild dog and nine leopards over the course of a week but seldom more than one or two other vehicles, in fact, most of the time - none. The result was the animals were undisturbed and behaving naturally. I appreciate tourism is great for the economy but the welfare of teh wildlife MUST come first.
@kakadu4824 ай бұрын
That's all nice, but I think your content should be tailored to people who can pay for it. You should say how much it costs. The entrance is expensive. Entim is a ridiculous expensive camp, hot air ballooning is too expensive aa activity. It needs to be adapted and bring the safari closer to people who can afford normal prices
@TheSafariExpert4 ай бұрын
It is tailored to people who can afford it, with “it” being a luxury safari in the Mara. I can’t cater for every price-bracket in every video.
@bmolitor6152 жыл бұрын
some people don't understand how... uuum... "visceral" the crossings can be - if you're at all squeamish, consider coming in a different season and MISSING the crossings and even the mega-migrations - less crowds, more reliable employment for the safari companies, and still lots to see.
