@Delilah Gillis I got some of the Summer Nights version. SUPER pretty stuff, but also super thin so takes forever to work something up. If I ever finish it, I'll post the poncho I started on the BOD Facebook page. I wonder if the Summer Nights yarn was a trial run also. I haven't seen it again. It was expensive, $9.99 regular price, luckily I had a 60% off coupon and my JoAnn let me use it for both skeins I bought.

@Gretchen Murray I have 40% hearing loss in one ear. I tend to look at ppls mouth when they talk. But when they turn away from mic/camera I can't hear them. I can hear her in her yarn room, it's the shopping trips I can't hear good at all..like if Mr BOD is behind her and she's talking. Or if she bends down to bottom row and face is away from camera. Thank you for pointing it out for ppl who have trouble hearing. xo
@Pitoonya4 жыл бұрын
@Gretchen Murray Oh you're welcome! I understand..i hate having to defend myself too. I have a lot of trouble hearing when talking on the phone as well. When I talk to ppl in person, if they put their hands in front of their mouth, it's even worse bc when ppl talk to me I tend to watch their lips move bc it helps me. I can hear some of Erik and Crystal's banter but I usually have to rewind and play it a few times until I can understand what they said..lol. Oh, on my computer, I have headphones and I can hear so much better. Tried ear buds for my phone but I have *very* small openings for my ears and I have to shove the buds in and it hurts ...but even then, after about 5 minutes, they fall out! So for my computer, I bought the headphones that are padded and go over top of my ears..much better. They don't fit in the jack on my phone tho. I've had trouble hearing even in my twenties. Never had hearing tests done till 2015..I was 53, almost 54...that's when I found out. I'm going to go check out the lady's Etsy shop even tho I'm broke. I'll save her shop. Have a grest rest of the week!💜🧶🧶

@ Gretchen Murray & Jamie Renee - I only stated that “ I have never had trouble hearing Crystal in her videos. I never attacked ANYONE so there was no need to for you to say you felt the need to DEFEND yourself I wasn’t calling anyone a Liar and I don’t appreciate your comment. Why not comment on all the other post of people that state they haven’t had problems hearing the videos either. Nothing was aimed at anyone with hearing problems. End of defending myself and my comment . Back to crocheting 🧶

@Gretchen Murray Sounds like you got some great deals! I had to get the clutch fixed on my 24 yr old car...original clutch when I bought the car new in 1996. I still haven hit 100k miles yet! Wow, she does have a fantastic site! These yarns are terrific--I agree, the prices are very, very good--better than I can get in the US from the big box stores, even on sale! And can't beat that free shipping over $70---I don't see how she can be that reasonable with her prices, but I'm thankful! I plan on saving up so I can get some of these luscious yarns. I have never really worked with wool. I make a lot of baby blankets and hats and scarves and lapghans to give away, so I tend to use lots of acrylics. But I'd like to branch out, and try yarns I haven't worked with before. You did a super job of 'translating' the labels for us. Thank you again, Crystal, for an interesting and fun yarn unboxing!

Nettle is a plant. It’ll stick you holly or cactus. Healthy tea, but tastes horrid. It would be very challenging to make yarn from it. I’ve watched ppl make linen from flax, with hand tools. Major process, planting, tending the field, soaking the flax, drying it, separating it, combing it, etc. So it’ll be worth it’s weight in gold for the effort alone. What a beautiful shop. Glorious embroidery & cross stitch too. Thanks. Have a great day.
