Well Games, like Minecraft are being forced to give out small updates by the parent company and or the parent companying Pushing games out, like EA. Rockstar is a good example of waiting, we waited eight years for RDR2, and it was perfect.

I like the style how you are bulding your town. Typical American way :D Streets and avenues. Typical European settlement of that time wouldn't be that linear. That's why most of European cities were so "chaotic". All was build for some purpose and it was practical. I like to watch this because you can see that European players have completely different approach than American players. I love that.
@StokedToker7 ай бұрын
Some European cities have a wagon wheel design, where there is a central hub with spokes radiating from that center. The reason? Cannons could shoot further down a straight street.
@dyutimandas97727 ай бұрын
@@StokedToker well, the time period of the game is late medieval(possibly late-high medieval) and is set in Germany(Bavaria I believe), so no anti revolution streets of the 1800s then
@voldavkuk7 ай бұрын
@@StokedToker There where radial style cities allready in place, but they where remnants of roman cities. But yes the "Idea of ideal cities was "reborn" within the renaicance period, at least 1 12/ or two centuries centuries after manor lords. But Villages, no they where often build in aspecific form and shape. Two roads spread around an elyptic shape where the Church, a pond and place for the lifestock where sourounded by the houses, stables behind the houses, gardens behind the stables and the fields behind the several gardens. Behind the fields where huge areas for cattle pasture and behind that where the "Heide" heathland with trees for wood and oaks for the pigs of the Village to feast on in the autumn - "Eichelmast" (most pigs would have been killed before the winter). From birds eye view, they would have looked like an eye (the church and pond as a kind of a pupil of the eye) within a colourfull village spreading out from its center.

Hi, David here from Germany. Why do I see in the first roads you have build, a typical American "rectangle suburb" taking form!? 🤣 I watched several German KZbinrs develop nice organic, rounded Villages, roads that take some curves as they glide through the environment - but here: NO! rectangular crossroad - check! straight roads to the berries and wild animals - check! I guess it is within your "DNA", as we are formed from what we are used to see and live in? 😋Please dont take my comment to serious! I dont say you HAVE to build your village in that way or it is bad how you design it, it is YOUR village, design it the way you like it and see it fit! And dont forget, I still enjoy your videos, even when I rarely watch your content here on the gaming channel! Maybe there is some content about German Village types coming up on the main channel? 😉 I dont know all their English names, but I had the opportunity to learn a bit about different types of villages here in the historic Germany: slawisches Runddorf/Rundling - literally: slavic round village (very common foundation of former slavic settlements in the "Germania slavica" between the rivers Elbe and Oder), Angerdorf (the Anger is an elyptical communal area within the center of the village, sorrounded by the two roads of the village, also surrounded by trees, typical linden trees, often with a pond and almost everytime with the church build on one end of the anger) - I dont know the English word for it..., Straßendorf - Streetvillage, a village allongside a mainroad, often times the street existed before somone decided to build the village; and as alway rhere are mixed formes, hybrids, etc. but the Angerdorf is VERY prominent within Germany and often still visible today!

The next thing I noticed is this: first devopement point - where do you spend it? Not in better farming, not in better hunting, not in better mining - everything that could have a direct impact in the wellbeing of your villagers - NO - trade™!🤦♂ MURICA™!🤦♂ You do make it hard for anyone defending the USA (from a German perspective), when you start in a medieval game (set in Franconia, Germany) and invest the first point into capitalism! 🤣 🤦♂
@frshunter7 ай бұрын
Since all choices completely benefit the villagers farming, hunting, mining, and trade equally all can be sold, all can be used, all cause the village to expand which helps all villagers equally, money will be used to buy more food and goods equally.
