Obviously I screwed up the guessing of what the burn out car is. I told my channel members not thinking that they would " Guess " What it was. LOL

Build the equilivant of an LS2, 400hp/400ft lbs. Add a 4L80 to go with it and all new A/C compressor, evaporator, receiver, fan and condenser..Everything A/C. No rush, some time next year..Assuming you ever wear out the stock engine. I have a Buick Roadmaster the same year and that's what is in it now... About 100k miles on the LS2.. They make fantastic daily drivers. Long wheelbase, huge interior, comfy ride, and if you don't make it too trick, it won't get stolen. Wish mine was white and not black in this Texas heat...

You really can't beat those old gm full size for comfortable cruising. My mom left me a 97 LaSabre with 22K on the odometer 23 years ago. Drove that all over the Midwest for 230K miles and finally gave it to a needy cause so she could trade it for something better after she got on her feet. She drove it another 3 years until someone finally hit it in the snow. Great car, 26 mpg on the highway and NEVER left me stranded. Maybe our Grandpa's were right all along.

Glad to see you're keeping Pearl as a comfy (Vista) cruiser, though a Michigan engine guy with an Olds wagon, I would swap in a nicely built, but very reliable EFI-fed Olds 350 Rocket with a good, high flow yet still relatively quiet dual exhaust, making it comfy & reliable, yet still fun cruiser- down the road, of course. Smart money on a burn out car would be a G-body with a good high revving SBC, you built of course. What either are? Anyone's guess. If I were to, I'd go to a big body, like a bubble top Caprice from the same vintage as your wagons, or even the Caddy of the same chassis design. Maybe take the wagon theme one step further & make a burn out hearse.

With Pearl just like you said, fix the interior but maybe get a new steering wheel? Also a for a “stock” car is a high fidelity car stereo system. An active stereo with DSP, separate amps for the mids and highs and at least a 12” subwoofer is a must in a wagon. A nice driving stock older vehicle with ice cold AC and a great sounding stereo is something to appreciate

Glad to see that your keeping Pearl stock and enjoying the normal drivability of it. Not everything needs to be high HP. But on the burnout car I would have to guess a crown vic with something around 1300-1500 HP and built to withstand high revs for sustained time.
