The experiences Tristan has been through have made him wise beyond his years. My husband also grew up in the foster system, and we adopted our daughter out of foster care. The things that kids go through to have been placed in care to begin with, together with some negative experiences in care sometimes, really add up in those important formative years. For many kids, the default would be going down the path of addiction and having no secure relationships. To counter that takes a lot of fortitude, strength, and insight. It's quite inspirational to see Tristan having come through on the other side. Crystal and Aaron, you two always see the light in everyone. You are the definition of grace. ~Long time fan of your channels!

Many decades ago I had to make the hardest choice of my life. I had to remove my niece from my mom’s care and give her to the state. It truly was the only way I could hope to save her and pray she would find her way back to me. She is 39 today and came back to us when she found her way. It truly was the best decision because my heart knows if I let it continue I would lose her forever. Aaron your tears will be happy tears soon and every time you look at this fine young man who you cared enough to let go and because of that he returned. Probably one of my favorite videos, and I love them all. I'm crying. So happy for you all and only wish happiness from here on out. Everyone is where they needed to be. No regrets! Every single moment is gods timing and planning. It was suppose to happen when it happened. Live in the moment, and just be together. Ever since Tristan came back, we all noticed the healing happening in the videos. This was HUGE. You were family ALWAYS and forever. When I was going through my own personal battles, I too distanced myself from my family. Words were said as well. It was a different time and space. I could only better myself once I got my space and come to realization. A few years later and I'm closer than I have been with them. Living in every moment, making up the memories I missed for those battling years. Aaron, don't be hard on yourself. It had to happen. I miss the years I missed too, as the child and sister. But I am in a better place in my life right now the best I've been and I had to do that on my own. Being with my family is a bonus to my healing.. I learned family is the most important thing in life to have and cherish.

I am delighted Tristan wants to be adopted, and you are able to adopt him. Even adults need stability in their life. Tristan has come through a lot and even though he and Aaron had cross words years back, the depth of emotion and connection and trust is clearly very strong. I must say Aaron, it wouldn't be unusual for a father and son to say awful things to each other especially where substance abuse is an issue - if you didn't care you might have said nothing or say 'not my problem '. Anyway, regardless Tristan is an absolutely lovely person and it's nice that he has really brought a positive attitude with him, everyone is gaining with him back on the family.

There is so much healing in sharing videos such as this. Relationships are similar to gardens in that there isn't any growth and good fruit or flowers produced unless storms show up and rain falls. There must be tough times in order to appreciate the good times. Sitting together and having these moments together where you can talk it out (even though you're sharing in front of a camera) allows each of you to share thoughts, fears, struggles, understanding and forgiveness, which is what really brings y'all together and realize that, through the difficulties, the hard work and dedication, you've all grown closer together and now have that unbreakable bond that no one will ever be able to break. I LOVE this episode.

The way Aaron listens, expresses his feelings and can admit when wrong - brilliant role model and dad ❤️

Tristan is really your missing pieces. He blends with everyone. I'm crying while watching this and I'm so happy that he will be officially part of your family. 😊

WOW it's wild how I don't actually know any of you but am so happy and almost relieved for you all to be together again. Idk if relieved is the right word but I don't know how to explain it!!

..also ur exactly on point with your frame of mind towards young minds It wasn’t until my daughter stared up at me the moment she came out that I saw god..within me The moment I could see god within others through pain through anger through it all The way you are with the kids embodies that to me Ur just being u ..the u u want to be Which isn’t easily attained ..and that’s what I see in u through KZbin videos lol 😉
