27:05 If you look back at the MCU, you’ll notice that Tony Stark improves his armor based on past failures. - Lot of the upgrades throughout Iron Man 1 (better flight, mobility, icing problem at high altitude, gps in the suit because he got kidnapped, etc) - Avengers his suit can absorb Thor’s lightning after being weak to electricity against Whiplash in Iron Man 2 - Got rid of his mechanical heart in Iron Man 3 since it almost killed him several times. - He uses Nano robot armor in Infinity War since Ant Man crawled under his armor in civil war and messed with his internals. - Heater in suit after the icing problem in iron man 1 and being left out in the cold in iron man 3 - In Age of Ultron, the Hulkbuster armor’s blasters were too weak, so in infinity war he has those extra pieces fly out from behind him to amplify his blast - He has flight stabilizers in infinity war to help with mid air combat, which is something he’s struggled with several times before - He has a big rocket booster in infinity war because he wasn’t fast enough to get to Rhodey before he hit the ground in Civil war - He also installed a parachute in to the iron spider suit because of Rhodey getting injured in that fall - After getting his butt whooped in melee combat in Civil War, his infinity war armor has a lot of melee upgrades (the shield being one of them, as well as all the techniques he uses against Thanos)

When I first got into the mcu, I really wasn't a fan of tony stark/ iron man. Over time his character slowly started to change, but what made me appreciate him, was the attention to detail to constantly upgrade the suit and all of it's features. Great job putting them together like that in a list!

Hey Matt, instead of thinking of them as all dead and knowing they’re going to come back, rather think about the impact their deaths will have on the ones who are still alive. I too had a problem with all the characters dying when infinity war first came out but after seeing endgame I realized that we are supposed to know they’re going to come back, it’s captain America, Thor, iron man, etc who do not believe they will come back. It’s all about the impact it has on the living.

It did NOT do a thoroughly well rounded job. The proof of this is in the fact that the first 10 or so minutes of Endgame actually has Infinity War's ending. From Thanos destroying the stones, to announcing how he made his universal affect permanent, and Thor killing Thanos when it was too late, and Thor walking out of the hut and that being the lasst time the audience would see THAT iteration of Thor, THAT is the true ending of Infinity War. It just happens to part part of the beginning of a slightly big and yet much BETTER film.

Iron Man had shields because he is always trying to improve his suit. He had freezing problems, so he fixed that. @@Alpha-bt9bh nah. Infinity War is cool, but it is just fireworks show. Its eventually just a long trailer for all the emotions that Endgame provides very well. You could even argue that Infinity War is not a movie per se, as it doesnt even have first, second, or third act. Out of all the MCU Infinity War is the one that trully feels like an episode of a series. Entertaining and gripping, but lacks a lot. Endgame however, its perfect movie to close off MCU (i know technically its far from home, but it serves more as an epilogue more than an actual ending of the Infinity Saga).

I forgot just how emotional this movie makes me. My theatrical experience with this was astonishing (only surpassed, I think, by Endgame) and it was great to have those memories come back. I was totally laughing, tearing up, and cheering along with you guys. That feeling of reliving the best moments of my favorite franchises, as well as getting some new insight on characters/plot/etc, is why I'm so invested in your series! I love how Matt took over for you the way he did. I literally am excited to watch these videos seeing someone for the first time experience what I experienced as a huge fan of marvel movies since Toby Mcguire even but especially since iron man. I don't get why people keep saying this was "part one of two" It wasn't. It was Thanos's movie, he won. That's the movie. There is no: "To be continued" at the end or "wait for part two" there is no cliffhanger. This movie has a complete arc, a beginning, middle and end. Then, a sequel, that is a completely different movie and a different tone continues the story.

It's interesting to think about how infinity war and endgame were originally going to be infinity war part 1 and part 2. The Russo's talked about how they felt like they should be their own stand alone films. But looking at Matt and Jeremy's responses it really does re-enforce that these movies really do still feel like a part 1 and part 2. It's so difficult to rate this one separately. That being said, in addition to these movie reactions I would be interested in seeing Matt's reaction to the timeline of the titles of the names being switched and stuff and everything that happened back when we were all in the dark waiting for them to come out.

It was always a part 1 and part 2. The two seperate movies things is just saying that it's not a 2 parter in the way you'd think. Infinity War focuses on the MCU characters colliding and fighting Thanos in the ultimate crossover that ends in disaster. Endgame focuses on the effect it had on the world and what happens to our heroes because of the loss, leading them to deal with past events to be able to truly be the best they can be. Infinity War is the get together fight movie (that focuses more on recent characters) while Endgame is a character driven movie that focuses on OG members and some new ones. Both have very different plots and feel. Infinity War is more align with Joss Whedon Avengers style while Endgame is more Russo style

During Infinity War's release, there being a part 2 was really just a confirmed leak. No one from Marvel or the cast explicitly said there was going to be a follow up to Infinity War in the lead up to it's release. To the average person, there was no indication that Infinity War was considered a "part 1 of 2" in any of the trailers or promos unlike say the Harry Potter or Twilight final movies. In hindsight it may look that way, but most people really felt that the Avengers would've somehow reversed the snap by the end of the movie.
