Honestly, same. I'm neurodivergent myself and I've been able to pretty effectively mask it most of my life. It's been a double-edged sword, and while I'm sad to say it, I spent a long time looking down on other neurodivergent folks who couldn't or just didn't want to mask like I did. I didn't really see any other options for myself or for others than to act "normal," and I was unfriendly when I saw people act in ways that I would criticize myself for. This channel has provided an incredible template for what being a loving and caring person to everyone should look like. I appreciate Chris' kindness and the simple rule by which he summarizes it: everyone has value, and that value is the same no matter who it is. It's helped me to better to other people, and also to myself.

If there was only one thing I want people to understand about autism it's that some of us just want to be understood and not pushed away. I'm envious of you Chris. You get to meet all these amazing people with amazing characters. It makes me cry tears of joy to watch you interview people. So I could only imagine the overwhelming sense of love and compassion you feel when you speak face to face with them. I hope anyone else that reads this feels the same. This is truely the most AWESOME community to be apart of.

Autism is not easy, mainly because regular people don’t understand and can’t cope with someone who doesn’t act “normal” but autistic people can be the best…I’m glad Dustin has a amazing loving family

This is one of the BEST channels on KZbin.😃❤️ I have an adult son with autism. It's very challenging. My fear is him having an encounter with the police and them not understanding him. God please protect Dustin.🤲🏽🙏🏽

I've been watching you with these videos and sir you have a heart of gold, I'm involved with some of the high schoolers with needs at school (I'm a custodian) and I can tell you, me showing up with my cart or my vaccum makes their day.
