Doubtless there's some sibling rivalry going on here. Larissa (the "baby"?) is clearly the golden child here and Rachel fell out of favor perhaps simply by accident of being the eldest. There are TWO supervisors who participate in this series of calls. I listened to the whole thing on a road trip.

I'd like to see a marriage of Lenny with that episode of The Office where Michael Scott worked a call center in the evenings. If Michael berated Lenny as a senile old fool, the conversation would be short. More likely though, Michael would identify with Lenny and the conversation would continue all through the night with Michael revealing all manner of details into his private life.

She only knows how to read a script. There is no way she's prepared to interact with anyone off the script.

It's unfortunate but sometimes companies want you to read the script verbatim. You don't deviate from it. If you are asked something or you have to answer something off the script you do so but then go right back to the script. Otherwise, when your call is reviewed you won't meet the expectations.

6 years later, these are still gold. Also, Rachel gets a bad rap because who wouldn’t want to talk to Lenny? But, she did it for his own good. He had gone for something he shouldn’t have, you see.

The ducks: almost as funny as the video with the guy whose little kids come into the room behind him as he is speaking to a TV reporter.

And his wife comes running in and pulls the toddler out. yep, a classic.

@@oldtiedyeman Yep, that's the one. I'm picturing the ducks sneaking into the room behind Lenny and he has to deal with them.
