Great Tip regarding the T Setting for the shutter speed. I have been using the top shutter speed dial manually and using the "T & rear dial" is much better! I also set the Exposure Compensation to the C setting and control using the front dial. So that the rear dial depressed custom setting isn't wasted I set this to Flash control as its something I rarely use. You could also may eye focus or white balance to it as its not a setting you tend to mess about with much.

I must be slower at picking up settings for my XT2 than others who have already posted. 90%+ of the time, I shoot in Aperture priority. Believe being able to set it up from the six pages of menu choices which I don't find all that difficult to follow. For portraits, people shots, set on fastest f stop and it shooting landscapes, pretty hard to go wrong with f8-16 ( at slowest). Be pleased to see how you would go about it. Thanks for the sensibly explained video.

Hello Andy, thank you for sharing this great video about this amazing camera. I just bought a used X-T2 with a Fuji 27MM f2 XF , and would like to know if it is normal for the Fujifilm x-t2 lens to move (focus back and forward) for a couple seconds when you press the Play button after you take a shot to view the photo you took?

These tips are very useful. hank you. Question, have you thought about upgrading to the X-H1? You are using non-image stabilized lenses. The X-H1 with IBIS would allow you to use slower shutter speeds, and therefore lower ISO's (with the non-stabilized lenses).

Small correction, those hand grips have Arca Swiss bases not Manfrotto.
@schizzlschnitzl7 жыл бұрын
I recently found that out. Manfrotto advertised their Element Traveler tripod as Arca Swiss compatible, which they are clearly not. I almost dropped my Fuji X-T2 when trying to use the tripod for the first time with the original Fuji grip attached. Almost. I sent the tripod(s) back immediately.

This is exactly what we need, a wedding photographer talking about their gear on KZbin! Thank you. Why oh why is there so few wedding photogs on YT? And there is literally no info about the X-T2 on the internet. God bless you Andy! This content is priceless and no one, absolutely no one else is doing this sort of stuff. I have been taking photographs for sixty years and I had no idea how to set up my camera for wedding photography without this video. Thank you!!! I was going to see the new Blade Runner film tonight but the moment I saw a new Andy Hirst video had been posted I cancelled all my engagements. I now know how you set up your X-T2 for weddings!!! It amazes me that you obviously have a lot of distain for this video, yet have taken the trouble to watch it and compose a series of comments like this. You clearly are a nasty person, probably very unhappy too! get a grip - this guy is amazing and one one the nicest people. Take your sarcasm and stick it up your arse - it might make you stop talking a load of complete FART. You clearly sure as hell haven’t got anything else going for you ( 60 years experience or not ) Two words = Victor Meldrew!

Great video - I learnt a lot from this. Can I ask, I noticed your metering dial was set to Spot - do you use this all of the time? Also, am I right in thinking you only use the 23mm and 50mm? If so, that sounds a great idea rather than dragging around bags of lenses that you may never use. Cheers!
@andyhirst7 жыл бұрын
+Mike Mulcahy Hi Mike, I am always on spot metering, it works for me. Those two lenses are my only ones at the moment, there have been times when a wider lens would have been good but it’s fine at the moment. I am looking at options for something a little wider mainly for dance floor shots.
@GillmanStudio7 жыл бұрын
Even it it’s just temporary. The Sam yang 12mm f2 is excellent optically and can be one focused for dance floor shots. Unless you must have AF you will not be disappointed.
