I have had a similar experience. I came late into the church and finally, influenced by the teachings of Derek Prince, got baptized last summer in a nondenominational Church of Christ. I, like you, believe in the real presence of Christ in the eucharist. Just a month or two after, l was drawn to Mary and the rosary, the saints (especially Padre Pio and St. Therese de Lisieux) and chaplet of divine mercy. So i was worshipping in a protestant church while praying the rosary and the chaplet of Divine Mercy daily 😅. I realized that l am a catholic at heart and started RCIA classes last October and was confirmed this Easter. I now attend Latin Mass weekly and love it. I pray that Christians soon unite into the one true, catholic and apostolic church that Jesus Himself founded.

@@mojo7495 So if you like you can debate with me about the presence of Jesus in bread and wine. But maybe this is enough proof: John 6: 46 No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father. 47 Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. 50 But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.52 Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” 53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. 57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” 59 He said this while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum. Also read: Matthew 26,26-29 Mark 14,22-25 Luke 22,17-20 John 6,32-36; 48,66 Acts 2 42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Acts 20 7On the first day of the week we came together to break bread. 1 Corinthians 10,16; 11,24-34 God bless you.

@@niakoch9390 You picked the wrong person to debate because I did a 50,000 word essay on why Transubstantiation is a lie from the pit of hell, with over 100 biblical reasons to prove it, so I know the topic like the back of my hand and also know full well you won't be able to deal with the avalanche of evidence against you, and drop out rather quickly. To simply quote J-6 and demand we take Christ literally, proves absolutely nothing. The evidence shows he was speaking METAPHORICALLY in those "cannibalistic" passages and you have no biblical right to think otherwise. In any case, I could start from any number of angles, but my first point would be that whatever Catholics have to say about the Eucharist must be rejected because they have spit on Christ's command to take BOTH bread and wine; preferring to take only the bread. So it is a sure thing that WHATEVER Christ meant about "eating flesh and drinking blood", God has more respect for Protestants who do as he says by taking BOTH elements, rather than for Catholics who do not. Will you start off your reply with, "The Roman Catholic Church says it's alright to take only the bread because..." But I will tell you I don't give a rat's tail what the RCC says. Christ said to take BOTH and you darn well know it. Now deal with it.

I came to recognize Christ in my life when I was around 23 years old. I remained Catholic, but for the longest time I thought that the best teaching was in the Protestant world. I consumed the Bible and biblical studies through the Protestant/evangelical world. Around the age of 40 I started to recognize the teachings of the early church and realized what I had been missing. There was so much great teaching available within the Catholic Church. How I had missed it for all those early years I don’t know, but I did. Here’s the biggest difference for me. Often the evangelical world keeps you at the foot of the cross. You’re forgiven, was what they always pointed out, but there was more. Our journey starts at the foot of the cross and then we must trek through the desert to get to the promised land. It’s in that journey that God wants to teach us, change us and sanctify us so that we can become who we’re meant to be.

I would love to hear the story of your confirmation Saint. I am a 56 year old Protestant convert currently going through RCIA. I prayed for a couple weeks for guidance on selecting my confirmation Saint. I felt as if I wasn’t being heard. Studying all the different saints, I decided on Saint Lawrence. Although I didn’t feel a solid connection, I liked his style. Let me preface what happened next with two things. One I was Protestant, so Saints were a new thing. Two, I was learning about male saints. Now, the early morning hours of this past January 7th I heard a voice say twice to me (because I seemed confused)………Saint Helena. I have never heard of this Saint and wasn’t sure if there actually was one. At 5 am I’m looking up Saint Helena and the hair stood up on my neck. There she was. She is credited for finding the cross that Christ was crucified on and is the patron saint of converts. So just because you feel you aren’t being heard doesn’t mean you won’t receive an answer. God bless you.

Great story, congrats! I went through rcia in 2008 and I’m so glad that I did. Yes, it started with me recognizing the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist too and over time, I’ve come to love Mary, the Church, and the rich deposit of faith and reason that is available to us! So cool. The scripture that best describes me now is the one about not growing weary of doing good. In due time, we shall reap if we don’t give up. 😊

@@ri3m4nn For me, I was talking about John 6 where the disciples say, "This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?" Jesus responds with, "Does this offend you?" @@h00sha ah, so you're referring to Jesus offending the Jews and those who took him literally and not spirituality. Jesus called himself "living bread", well obviously he's not a living bread-man. Also, in Chapter 4 and 7, it was clarified as spiritual. In those days, literally drinking of blood is a Canaanite tradition, definitely not what Jesus was teaching, but the Jews thought he was. This is consistent with everything else, like being a Lamb, a door, a vine, destroying the temple and rebuilding it in 3 days, all spiritual.

The Lord has been so kind and loving to you! How amazing that you have been open to him! What a testament to love. I could really imagine Jesus walking next to you during that week and really leaning into your need of feeling loved for your dignity as a child of God instead of your performance. There's an interview with Sister Miriam called "The healing Christ wants for you" that was life changing for me and your comment made me think of that. I recommend it. When you were speaking about hunger for the word of that wonderful pastor I thought of my hunger for the Eucharist and how I can continue to deepen my relationship with Jesus at holy mass through studying the word more. Thank you! How wonderful that you walked through your moments of disconnect with God. Those are such moments of true growth for our faith. I would recommend St. Ignatius of Loyola's rules of discernment as a way of helping during the hard times. It looks like the Holy Spirit has already spoken many of these spiritual truths to you!. I had to be delivered, as my life was in turmoil, nevertheless when I returned to my Catholic faith my life was transformed for the better. Virtue started to flourish and innocence was restored. Avoid New Age it’s not compatible with faith in Christ. The Rosary changed my life exponentially, and the mass is powerful and definitely healing. Thanks for your testimony.

All praise and thanksgiving be to God. I am a cradle Catholic and was just nominal and struggling then. It was only when I asked to Lord to increase my knowledge of Him, to help me in my faith that God poured out on me the events, circumstances, and books that helped me much. The book that helped me so much in meditation is the The Life of Mary As Seen by the Mystics as compiled by Ralph Brown. I also listen a lot to Fr. Chris Alar with his Explaining the Faith Series. Since then, all the questions that i had were answered. All the difficulties in undertanding the faith were gone. All that i want to do is to love the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament and to offer Him everything through Mama Mary...Thank you so much for your testimony, it strengthens my faith and love for the Lord.💝💝💝

I've got other tasks to tend to, but I'm halfway through and there has not been a single appeal to Scripture-hardly any mention of Scripture. I always find this troubling... And what would you say to anyone who sees the "Adoration" as idolatry, since one is reverencing an object that seems to be a violation of at least 2 of the 10 commandments-not to mention a violation of Jewish law, that one not drink blood? ... Falling in love with the Church? The love of the Catholic Church? Half my family is Catholic, no Catholic in all of my life has ever expressed concern for my soul or attempted to share their faith with me... "Holding on to the Eucharist"? What does that mean? Did he say he wants to "seek [the Eucharist]" so badly? What exactly is the Eucharist? "Desiring confession"? What does that mean... confession to a priest? "The power and healing of the Sacraments"? What's he referring to there? Entire video and no mention of the Gospel, no appeals to the teachings of the Bible, no mention of sin, repentance, the cross... I'm afraid I'm not following. _What is the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to the Roman Catholic Church? "...what must I do, that I may be saved?"_

@@jessebryant9233 Are you referring to the video or my post? It seems you are confused and has lots of questions but is not even open-minded about it? You say half of your family is Catholic? Well, they may be just nominal Catholics, or shall I say Catholics that are lukewarm. They may be poorly catechized in that regard. Poorly catechized Catholics, or those who lack understanding of the faith, are prone to stray away from the Church and become lost. You will need to study more. Like I said in my post, go search Dr. Brant Pitre here in KZbin. His explanations can help a lot. Or you can enroll in an RCIA for inquries (it doesn't mean your converting), no committment in enrolling such. I will pray for you.

Though most a well catechized and do know what answers to parrot. But if you ask specific questions as I have in the above comment, I always get responses like yours and am directed to look elsewhere rather than given any kind of answers from those who profess to believe themselves. (1 Peter 3:15-16?) I mean, isn't the question of "What is the Gospel..." the single most fundamental question there is? What is the answer to that question?

I love listening to Catholic conversion stories because there is this tremendous ache in my heart that keeps me so sad when I think about it because my 2 kids have turned their backs on the One True Church. Your story confirmed what I learned through Catholic conversion stories that most Protestants or non-denominational converts to Catholicism read many books, some in the hundreds (I heard of one who read more than 1000 books), and researched through Christian history and now, in your case, through pod casts, before they converted to Catholicism while most ex-Catholics converted to Protestantism or non-denomination churches because they did not have good understanding of the Catholic Church’s teachings. Hey! Oh wow thank you so much for sharing your story! It was super interesting! Personally, I'm not Catholic yet, but I highly consider Catholicism. I was raised in a "lookwarm" orthdox family and God has always been my best friend:) 2 years ago He revealed Himself to me through the Bible and I gave my life to Christ. I considered myself a non-denominational Christian and started attending lutheran church. After watching a lot of videos on KZbin (Trent Horn, father Mike schmitz etc.) and listening to many debates, I think that Catholicisim might be true. At first, I believed that they weren't even Christians at all, because they don't believe they ARE saved. After seeing some of Cameron B's content, I was so afraid that my relationship with God was based on a lie, that I didn't have any right to read and interpret the Bible on my own, let alone be sure of salvation. Actually, I went through a time of depression, but thanks to God it's now getting better and I'm not afraid of Catholicism being true anymore.. My main issue though is still salvation. Could you please sum up the Catholic understanding of the Gospel? Is there assurance of salvation? Or only "assurance of purgatory"? I know that mortal sin can lead one to hell, if this sin isn't confessed, but then I wonder.. why would a true christian/Catholic want to commit it? Hope you can help me out:) Greetings from Germany:)

Maybe they will help. 1) Assurance of Salvation: Believers can be sure of God's salvation, just as we can be sure of everything He is and does. He has saved us, as in, He has given us the gift of salvation, all we need to be saved. What remains is for us to open and use--live out--His gift. This is why St. Paul can say, "work out your own salvation in fear and trembling." What God does is certain: what mankind does takes place in the realm of free will and original sin as well as in the realm of Grace. 2) You say "mortal sin can lead one to hell, if this sin isn't confessed, but then I wonder.. why would a true christian/Catholic want to commit it?" My answer: How can man commit any sin? What is sin? Well, we only are responsible for a wrong we do IF a) we do it with full knowledge of what we are doing and b) we fully consent to the action with our free wills. (So for example, accidental manslaughter, say hitting/killing a pedestrian while you are out driving drunk, is correctly not punished in human law as harshly as we punish first degree murder, because while the objective content is present--an innocent life was taken in both cases--in the latter case it was done with neither full knowledge nor full consent. Another example is when a child of four pushes a child of two out the window. Not only is this not murder, it is not even called manslaughter, but rather an accident, because the child has no ability to understand, let only fully understand, what she is doing, so knowledge is lacking--nevermind full consent. ) So sin is doing something objectively wrong, with full consent and full knowledge. But how on earth can we sin if we know an action is false and feel it is repulsive? Well, man is built such that he always chooses something under the aspect of it being somehow "good." We never say, "I want this because it is bad." It is always, "Because it is good, somehow." I want to commit adultery not because it is a wicked thing to do, but because it seems so good to do--how can something that feels so right be wrong! Every sin is chosen in the knowledge it is wrong but in the simultaneous conviction that it is right. Our minds can be clouded. Now, we could be saved from our vulnerable intellects if our wills were set on loving what is good: but our wills are also bent and have a taste for bad just as our minds accept lies as truth--ever since our Father and Mother left us the infection of original sin along with our humanity. How is it possible for man to sin? It is possible because we can accept two contradictories at the same time--e.g., we know the adultery is a lie but we "think" of it as a great and shining truth, as we shut our minds to the thought of the betrayals and lies ahead. We simultaneously feel the guilt of sluttishness and self-centeredness and the pleasure of love. And what is mental incapacity but both accepting and rejecting the same thing at the same time and in the same respect? The Principle of Non Contradiction is the bedrock of rationality: without it there is no logic, no ability to reason. If I think I am a cat, yet I read books/laugh at jokes (these states contradict each other), I'm probably under psychiatric care--and any crime I commit while laboring under my delusion I will not be held responsible for--because in an important area I cannot understand and so cannot fully consent. So my answer is that is possible for man to sin because it is possible for man to freely see and freely choose to enter into a self-contradictory state. It is possible for me to live a contradiction: to behave, in this area or in this instance, insanely. And that state is the state of sin. This is a huge area of thought, and I don't know if this was of interest to you, but for what it is worth! In Him Who is the Sanity and the Answer and the Word and Love Itself, Jesus Christ Our Lord.

Among other things, (1) there 15 Promises Our Lady gave for praying the Most Holy Rosary (Tradition: She only gave to St. Dominic 15 Mysteries (5 Joyful; 5 Sorrowful and 5 Glorious Mysteries). Her No. 15 Promise : Devotion to My Rosary is a great sign of predestination. (2). The twelve (12) Promises of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to Saint Margaret Mary of Alacoque. The no. 12 I promise thee in the excessive mercy of My Heart that My all-powerful love will grant to all those who communicate on the First Friday in the nine consecutive months the grace of final penitence; they shall not die in My disgrace nor without receiving the Sacraments; My Divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment. (This has been tested and proven. The last ones were 2 brothers of my friends. And the Priests sent by Our Lord Jesus Christ were all Traditional Latin Rites Priest because most of the NOVUS ORDO PRIESTS DO NOT BELIEVE ANYMORE IN THE LAST RITES THE LAST SEVEN OF THE SACRAMENTS OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH. (3). The First 5 Saturdays of the Month given by Our Lady at the Apparition of Fatima. www.fatima.org (4). Wear Brown Scapular of Our Lady. You can find it on-line. Some Catholics are not well-versed in the Holy Bible because some Catholics have no money to own one but basically they know their Catholic faith to save themselves. One doesn't need to read the Bible to pray the Holy Rosary. One doesn't need to read the Bible on how to go to Confession. One doesn't need to read the Bible on how to pray the Stations of the Cross of Mary Most Holy because Tradition says she was the First to do that and so on and so forth. I hope you understand what I mean because the Holy Bible only came second to Sacred Traditions or oral Traditions. Pray to the Mother of God. Only a mother knows her Son. Deo Optimo et Maximo.

Welcome Home, brother! May Jesus, Mary, Joseph and all Angels & Saints be with you always. All the Treasures of the Church are in the Catholic Church. You remind me somehow of a young Padre Pio (because of your beard maybe) that’s why I clicked the video. I’m from Asia and today is Padre Pio’s feast day in our time zone. Through his intercession, May he bless and protect you always. You’ll be in my prayers always.

Very interesting. It was that cursed "praise and worship" music which drove me OUT of the protestant church. I hate it so much that I couldn't bear to even show up until I knew they were finished. That left me with a sermon and closing prayers. Talk about empty and nearly worthless. Had it not been for my kids, I simply could not have continued going to church. For several years I only went to church for the benefit of my girls. I finally found out the truth about those evil and wicked kathliks. The next week I went to Mass and have only darkened the door of a protestant church a couple times in the last five years. Never to return.

I was raised Baptist. Became atheist when I was around 14. Then over time I started to dabble in paganism and Satanism. I've fully converted to Christianity maybe 5-6 months ago. Now I'm going through RCIA

*R Catholicism has nothing to do with God and His Words. R Catholic Church contradicts Scriptures in every possible ways!* 1. Catholics say Mary was sinless. But BIBLE says Mary offered a sinner's offering. She was a sinner. Bible says Mary needed a Saviour. Lk 2:23-24, Lev 12:6-8, Rom 3:10. 2. Catholics say clergies must be celibate. Yet BIBLE says Peter (supposed R Church first leader) had mother in law. Bible says celibacy is not a qualification for clergies. Mat 8:14-15, Mar 1:30-31, Luk 4:38-39. 3. Catholics say Mary was forever virgin. Yet BIBLE says Jesus had brothers and sisters. Mary was not perpetually virgin. Mk 6:3, Mat 13:55, Mat 27:56, Mar 6:3, Mar 15:40, Mar 15:47. 4. Catholics say confess to R priests in a box. BIBLE says nothing about confessing to priests in a box. Bible says confess to GOD only. 1 John 1:9, Mat 6, Romans 10:9-10. 5. Catholics say drink of the literal blood of Jesus. Yet OT and NT both say do not drink blood. Acts 15, Lev 7:26. 6. Catholics say pray to passed on Mary and "saints". Yet BIBLE says do not contact the dead. NT Church did not record a single case of NT believers asking passed on saints to pray for them. Deut 18:11, Isaiah 8:19. 7. Catholics make and bow down to statues. BIBLE says do not bow down to graven images (statues). Deut 4, Exo 20:4-5. 8. Catholics sprinkles “holy water”. But NT Church of the Bible mentioned nothing about “holy water”. There was no record of any Apostles sprinkling “holy water” on believers. Catholics claimed “holy water” came from OT. Yet Num 5:17 says “holy water” was water used to test adulterous women in OT temple. Hardly the same. Those were for Old Covenant Jews. Not New Testament Christians. 9. Catholics say Peter was pope - bishop of all bishops. Yet BIBLE says Peter was just a leader of the Jerusalem Church. Bible says nothing of the office of bishop of bishops. Gal 2:9, Mat 16:18. 10. Catholics say there is a seat of Peter. Yet BIBLE says nothing about it. Jesus said “not to lord over others”. 11. Catholics has clergy priesthood. Bible says clergy priesthood was done away with in New Testament. There is no clergy priesthood in NT. Heb 7:27, 9:12, 10:10. 12. Catholics preaches Works Salvation (faith + good works + partake R sacraments + submit to R pontiff + be in R Church + devote to Mary = to be saved). Yet Bible says “believe in Jesus to be saved”. Bible says Works Salvation is cursed. Gal 1:8-9. Acts 16:30-31, John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10. 13. Catholics says they must do Penance to atone for their sins. Yet Bible says repent, confess and sins will be forgiven. Catholic Bible changes the word “repentance” in NT into “penance”. Original Greek NT does not use or mean the word penance. Penance = work to atone for sins. Repentance = change of heart. 1 John 1:9, Mat 6. 14. Catholics say Mary went straight to heaven without dying. Yet Bible says nothing about it. 15. Catholics say Islam and Christianity have the same GOD. Yet Islam doesn't believe in death and resurrection of Jesus and Trinity.

*Rev 17 speaks of R Church as the Apostate Church* Check out this description from the Bible that fits R Church perfectly: R Church, Rome (woman) ( city that sits on 7 hills) Beast (spirit of Anti-Christ) Woman on a scarlet beast : R Church and Rome which ride on the spirit of Anti X. 1. Roman priests love to wear scarlet and purple. Rev 17:4. 2. R Church loves to use golden cups. Rev 17:4. 3. R Church persecuted the real Christians (saints) in history from Roman times till modern days. Verse 17:6. 4. Seven mountains where the woman sits. Rome was called the city on 7 hills. Rev 17:9 THat's basically talking about R Church 5. R Church sits on peoples, multitudes, nations and tongues. Rev 17:15 6. Only R Church reigned over kings. Rev 17:18 7. Kings have whoredom with her. Rev 18:3
