Thank you for exposing the GIANT Turd in the Punchbowl = NOMAD INTERNET! You've got the guts that most other KZbin influencers lack. You prioritized integrity over monetary compensation. We've un-subscribed from several other RV-themed YT channels because of this. Nomad gives "influencers" the best of the best, and the rest of us get nothing but very expensive, frustrating, absolutely horrible internet with useless customer service. We initiated the cancellation process 4 months ago (not easy, and not free) and we were billed the $199 service fee yet again this month! They have the hardware we returned, but they keep billing us and the customer service department, the returns department and the billing department apparently do not know each other, nor do they exist in the same universe. You're awesome, honest and we look forward to enjoying and learning from you!

In the very small print in their terms and conditions you'll find an obscure# too call to cancel. They won't process it any other way! Turds. This is another reason I bailed. BTW, they do seem to respond (and reimburse) bbb complaints.

It's great that everyone is coming out now and denouncing this company but this also exposes a larger issue of "non-professionals" endorsing products where they don't have total expertise in that field. It's a slippery slope as an influencer and hopefully everyone who was paid to endorse this product have learned a lesson. yep they charged me for a Sim card which never arrived. any time i tried using their chat messaging, i kept getting BS answers. Plus they had me buy a "home router" bc they were out of the mobile ones and then two months later they changed to the different routers which are super expensive.

Glad to see your video. We cringed when you mentioned Nomad Internet as we had just ordered a modem and was ready to sign up. But they goofed before they could send it. They promised us it would ship within 7 days of the order then when it did not show up they said it would ship the end of the week, then they finally said they are out of stock and wont have any for 3 - 4 weeks. We promptly canceled our order and were lucky enough to get our money back the same day. Thanks Robin we trust your experience and knowledge.

I totally understand where you are coming from. I went to Nomad, shortly after you endorsed them. I too was thrilled with the service until Dec. It was frustrating. I couldn't get any kind of service. I was on on road at the time, so it was very hard for about a month. I went ahead and bought the new Nomad Air modem, reluctantly, but frankly I couldn't find anything that would guarantee anything from any company. Finally, about a month and 3 sim cards later, I had internet! I'm not going to lie or sugar coat, I nearly cancelled. It's been good for the last couple of months (fingers still crossed)

I've had to give up driving because of my eyesight and the fact I don't have a travel partner. So, living vicariously through you now. I started watching your videos while I had my truck-n-camper. So that is Shaffer Butte Trail Rd...18% grade in some spots and is listed as a 4X4 trail. For that section I had my 4Runner in 4L in between 1st and 2nd gear so I wouldn't burn out my breaks. Beautiful trail but definitely multiple times my sphincter was engaged. There are some gorgeous boondocking spots on the BLM land outside the NP but there is no way I would even take my converted cargo trailer up that path. Glad to see you back!

Holy crap! 18%?!? That's worse than I thought from up above. Something similar happened to me when I was a noobie in Yellowstone. I started on a road I had no biz being on, but there was no way to turn around! I literally backed out blind with a rock wall on one side of me and a drop on the other. Never again🤣

@@CreativityRV If you ever rent a Jeep in Moab I would definitely recommend that trail. It's not a technical trail...just one you want to go slow and steady on. And check the weather before. There are a few washes you go through.

I"m getting ready to do van life and I am SOOOOOO EXCITED!!! (yes, I will be vlogging it...with my cat! 😺😸😻🐈) I do have some concerns about gas prices tho...there is so much going on with oil these days...have any of you heard? I mean they have cut off so many ways for us to get it, including either they have already done it or they are about to shut down the Alaskan Pipeline, all in the name of saving the planet for 'clean' energy, I don't know about ya'll but I cannot afford or really want to buy an EV...they don't even work in the cold right and I've heard stories about the batteries catching on fire! I'm all for conservation and protecting the land but I think this is more political than anything. I went to Joshua Tree last January...and yea...beautiful amazing place. I actually plan on going back because I did miss a lot of things and I want to be in the campground this time. And yea, I'm from Phoenix and this last winter definitely was cold and long for Phoenix...I LOVED IT! haha!

I was tempted by Nomad but it seemed to good to be true and, I was made aware that Verizon is the only option now offered (or so I was told). That does nothing for me as I have a grandfathered Verizon MIFI with unlimited LTE data for $70/mo. It is truly unlimited as we stream 25-30 hours of programming each week and I work 9-5 remotely in a technical job. Never have had a problem and been doing it for going on 4 years now. Ultimately passed on Nomad, and now I'm glad I did. Thank you for validating. And YES, so glad to see you back.

watching those cars on that narrow winding road reminded me so much of when we were heading to a tiny greek village in the mountains of greece .. the road was so narrow and winding , they used to call it " colo sortis " which means " to drag your ass"( like when you sit at the top of staircase and just come down on your ass 😂😂.. crazy roads , in greece, back then ( in 1986) lolol shrines were all along the road , in memory of cars and trucks that fell over the sides , especially on the curves 😮😮

Happy you are back and doing well. Great truth telling! Shame on Nomad for their wishy washy turn. I enjoyed a great trek (traditional style) across Texas in October. My first big trip since COVID. Looking forward to more stories from the road.

The hill in canyon land goes to Moab. We traveled the opposite way. Once your down off the hill. It’s fairly flat and wide. Mid travel, there it are restrooms with electricity and flush toilets! If self contained, lots of spaces to overnight. I personally, would have entered in Moab. The start is at the salt mines / rafting tour put in is another pin point.
