I think I have seen a Story like this in the Show Medical Detectivs. And even though you know that something like this can happen, it still sounds so unrealistic. OP had a tons of luck that day.

I remember the gardener and maintenance guy from my old preschool allegedly did some bad stuff to some of my classmates. He tried to skip town, but the parents took the law into their own hands…something about a fire. Then my former classmates had nightmares about him and his finger razors as well as a striped sweater and fedora hat. 🤔

Story 1: Okay... i really dont think this story should've been featured and for a number of reasons. First off, this is really dangerous if this is still an active crime case. The stepson could still easily find this story and connect the dots on the OP, and if he doesnt get convicted (unlikely), he could still come after the OP. Second, if the case is still going, the authorites and legal aides could see this as interfering. As for the details on everything else..... yeah, i'm not touching that. Honestly.... stick to crazy and entitled Karen stories and leave ones like this for crime story podcasts. Story 2: A classic case of "a fool and his money are easily parted". Just because you have a good repuation and credentials does not mean you are good with money or should be throwing it around. The executive was just a power-tripping loud mouth. Story 3: Not sure what country this is, but this mailman definitely deserved to be fired here. I get postal services are on a tight schedule a lot of times, but they werent even attempting to do their actual jobs here. Good thing the OP got it on video and confronted that dumb ex-mailman.

Story1: From what I know I think AITJ usually uses stories from Years ago. So I think it's safe now. And the murderer probably is either in prison for life or dead by now.

As for the story with the mailman. I had one night was pretty late and the mailman delivered two out of three packages. On the third one they said that I requested it to be taken back to the post office for pick up. I’m handicapped and I have no vehicle no way to get to the post office so I called the next day and complain because there’s no way for me to get there to get it and the lady was like so you didn’t tell the guy to take it back to the Post Office and I said absolutely not. I didn’t even talk to them. They deliver two packages until the third one back. The next day my package was delivered. I still don’t understand what happened there.

Last Story - Yeah, I know that feeling. Whenever I get an Amazing Package, they either ring the bell and leave the Package on the ground or out right leave it and do not ring the Door Bell. If I worked for Amazing, and I pulled that stunt, I would be sacked. Be a nice Human, People. It opens more doors than being a stuck up A-hole.

That last story is basically daily stuff in germany. "You weren't there, get it off the post Office." And they seriously thought i would buy that lie when they didn't even ring the bell. How did i know? I was home all this time, working in home office.

Last story: nah, my previous mailman was a lazy POS who relished in delivering bills way past the due date and failing to deliver important notices, until I told him, while smiling because manners, that his replacement would find my house immediately: it would be the one with the dead mailman in the front garden. My current mailman is an asshole as well. Oh, but the gentleman delivering packages, he is a champ.

Last one sounds like Amazon Deliveries here. They are the worst, even worse then Evri & that says something When i get a delivery from them they put it on the ground, gently knock to not hurt my doors feeling & take off. (trust me, I've seen the recordings from my doorbell, so i know this is exactly how they do it) Even if they bother to ring by the time I reach the door, which is like 30seconds later, because the living room is just a few steps from the front door, there is no sign of the delivery van anywhere anymore. - There is still some way to drive to the end of the street so this absolutely baffles me when after seconds there is nobody in sight anymore. And then it states on the website that it was "handed over to resident" 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

First story: to prevent compromising the case OP and the police probably already have the answer but won’t say. My biggest question is why did the stepson want to murder op? Is she a victim of opportunity that he knew about or does he have something against her? Fortunately I currently live in a very safe neighborhood. I previously didn’t. For my safety I had a large dog, Great Dane, and a fenced in front yard. The dog was out in the front yard a lot. People, including solicitors, stayed away from my house.

Some people legit don't need a reason to kill. They do it for the thrill of it. The stepson sounds like he falls into that category. The fact he was aiming for someone he knew he could overpower and wimped out when a six-foot-tall teenager answered the door is pretty much good evidence this stepson grew up torturing and killing small animals. He only targeted those who couldn't fight back as easily.
