Thank you for this! The song is a collaboration of ATCQ and the leaders of the new school. In the video, you missed other rappers just bouncing around in the background. Redman, De la Soul, Brand Nubian and others. Plus Spike Lee was jumping around too in the video

Imo Wu tang Clan and Tribe Called Quest is some of the best Hip Hop music i herd. Something about the Boom Bap Beats and flow it hits different

Every segment was jam packed with quotable, clever, lyrical hooks. Kinda the exact opposite of mumble rap, with Busta batting a legendary cleanup. He was quoted as saying the reason for this songs success was q-tip had a vision coming into the recording session and funneled everyones talents together. I also love how the music partially stops during the intro to Bustas section to build the drama. '91-'96 the best era in both hip hop and rock.

Native Tongue is a collection of groups. "Scenario" is comprised of two groups. Tribe Called Quest/Leaders of the New School, Busta Rhymes started With the Leaders until this group.

@@Ludzig I'm listening, Charlie Brown started leaders and Busta is the 3rd Member. Busta will tell you he didn't see this big future, he was in the moment. Busta later meet TIP, these created the working relationship with TIP and Tribe, How do you think Busta Had the clean up slot at the end of Scenario. Research and Homework is required for those who didn't live in it and lived through it.✌🏿

A Tribe Called Quest never really officially broke up.... They had their times where they couldn't come together to make music because of diffferences, but they would still make music when the time was right. Then Pfife died before the last album was finished and Jarobi, started rhyming more on that album. Of course, Q-Tip has his own albums Leaders of the New School broke up due to differences between Busta Rhymes and Charlie Brown. They kinda showed the break up happening on Yo! MTV Raps. It was weird

This was part of the soundtrack of house parties, Bush parties and every other party back in the 90’s. A stone cold classic. What a time for music across all genres in the early to late 90’s….

This was a legendary group performance and its fantastic. But TCQ, for me, were all about multiple influences in their hip-hop, particularly jazz and world music. Something like Butcher Brown today (a band I heard about on this channel! lol) Would love to hear one of their originals, like "I Left My Wallet in El Segundo" or "Bonita Applebaum".

Q-Tip gave Busta this opportunity because The Leaders of The New School were kicking Busta out the group but Tip thought he was the most talented. They literally kicked him out on an episode of Yo! MTV Raps.

ATCQ was part of a larger group called the Native Tongues which included De La Sol, Black Sheep, Queen Latifah, Monie Love, Fu-Shnickens and others. You can’t listen to ATCQ in a vacuum. They are probably my favourite hip hop group of all time but take time to listen to all the members of the Native Tongues to get a true picture of Hip Hop in the 90’s. I also want to point out the clothing as well. You will notice the initials TBG on a lot of it. TBG stands for Too Black Guys. It was a Canadian brand out of Toronto. TBG was owned and designed by friend of mine.
