I am a mother of 2 teenagers and I'm 50yrs old I started being an Army when my youngest turn 5yrs old just to be in tuned or rather guide her thru adolescent yet it became more to me as a person cause I was able to also learn to know more about myself. I wish all the mothers and parents in the world learn what BTS have thought me even though they see way younger than me. And yes your both right BTS is not just singers and dancers but they are the embodiment of perseverance, hard work and humbleness makes you a better person. I am trying to teach my children to be like them and I am hoping they also reach their own goal and be happy just like BTS.

When BTS had their very first concert long time ago, Jimin said during the ending ment that being a singer is an unusual job because not only is it not easy at all, but it’s not something you do for the money. I think he’s just speaking from their own experience coming from a small agency. They love making music and performing it live, and to be able to keep doing all this together was (and continues to be) their dream. Army already expressed in the first 2 years how their music songs and everything saved them, so they realized/know how much it helped/moved army. Who knew how long and how big they were going to be, and how they healed and saved millions with just being themselves and caring.

I absolutely agree, that PD Bang deserves tremendous recognition for building the group with strong value based guidance, instilling humility, fairness, respect for the group, and fathered them with emotional support. Each member was already an amazing kind, good person, but he gave them the support to skyrocket! For me, i love their music, but Im a fan of them as good people who have good intentions. We need more models of happiness and goodness in the world, and they are excellent at being that.

i love the fact that BTS is just like you and me they are people we can relate with, so when they make music it´s their stories they tell not some company writing songs for them like other groups so. they end up being disconnected to their music and end up burning out. it must also be totally boring just being an instrument of others. like a doll they can control.

39 mother and wife from central Europe here. Im quite educated, speak 3 languages and even decided to get myself some postgrad studies as well, and get back to actively seekeng a job. Especially now that kids are big enough. BTS is a huge part of my journey of becoming more that just a stay at home mum with unused Masters degree. They inspired me and gave me strenght. The serect to their popularity is them being as honest in their creative process as possible in this industry. Also I want to Thank you DT because you have been also a part of this journey for four years! I do warch other reactors, but yours are one of most hones and realistic, plus your English is beautiful. Yes I do realise it's your native language, but your pronounciation and pace of speach, plus words you choose to use it all makes you a lovely example of native speaker, for those who are just starting to learn English. And yes I do reccomend your videos for those who want to practice their listening comprehentions! And lastly, your girlfriend is lovely and if she agrees, you should include her in your next reactions.

DT…. it has been a while since I have watched one of XCeleste documentaries, I learned about BTS from watching them. Whenever I watched a new KZbinr to BTS, I always suggested they watch XCeleste’s documentaries. I appreciate the fact that your new love is willing to be a part of this with you. I am a 60+ female. I have been a fan of BTS for six years now, and I absolutely adore them, I so enjoyed the interaction between the two of you as you watched this together. I disagree of what was mentioned regarding that the boys might have just started bcoz they wanted to be popular or what not. That they might have suddenly daunt on it only. On the contrary I believe they joined BHE w/ leadership of Bang Shi Hyuk bcoz they shared the same mission n vision about "Artist n Music for Healing." When PD Bang Shi Hyuk discovered RM, he knew of his uniqueness in writing. That is why he adamantly recruited him to debut. Same as Suga to be 1 as their producers. But actually to be 1 of their artists. Then all members just by fate got assembled for a higher reason in their musical talent. It's just that, during their journey as artists n normal people, they discovered a lot about themselves and related with societal issues in their growing up years. If you looked at it, their discography for 10 yrs is actually the struggle n learning about themselves. It is their Life Story esp. the theory of Psych Analyst C. Jung for Map of the Soul Album. Feelings of Rejection, Fear, Societal pressures, Awareness and on towards Acceptance and deliverance of who they truly are regardless of how society took them. I truly believe that they have the perfect reason to be an influential artist right from their humble beginning. They have shown it in words, actions and even their own struggle. It was all meant to be.

They were like that right from the very start. They wrote from their experience of the world and what was going on in their lives, what they were, what they were learning/reading/experiencing etc etc. RM and Suga who were already known Rappers in the underground Hip Hop scene but with different stage names. The both started out at the age of 13years old. RM didn't get picked up by BigHit until he was 17years old and Bang couldn't believe how someone his age could write such meaningful lyric's and Rap the way he did. However the underground Hip Hop community already knew and they became very anti of him because he joined a Kpop agency yet they didn't do that to his friend and fellow Rapper Zico who joined a different Kpop Agency. There's footage of RM at 13years old Rapping with Zico who is 2 years older than RM. RM was battle Rapping and wiping the floor with much older Rappers well before he was part of BTS.

I think Bang PD had a vision for BTS and their messaging to fans and the youth. And I think the members bought into the idea that their music could be more for their fans wholeheartedly. They embodied the concept "Music and Artists for Healing." I think they were young enough to truly believe that's what music could be without the jaded outlooks, cynicism or pessimistic outlook we gain with maturity and experience. And they were still young enough to see the effect and healing their music brought to their fans before the fame and fortune struck at the worldwide level it is today. BigHit's concept for BTS has always been music and artist for healing. So from the very beginning, they were meant to be just that. They were meant to be a group of young people who led the way for other young people, comforting and protecting and guiding other people their age. They addressed topics that other groups in K-pop weren't really addressing from the very beginning. Young people related to them, and ARMY began to grow. At first though, I didn't jump onto the ARMY bandwagon, because while what they were doing was good, it still felt a little unreal to me, like there was still some disconnect there. But the moment they did "I Need U" and I heard that song and saw that music video, THAT really spoke to me, because it felt more real than anything else they'd ever done before. It's as though BTS has finally opened themselves up to ARMY and showed their vulnerabilities, even if it was just through the 7 characters of what we now know of as being part of the Bangtan Universe. But I could feel how real and authentic they were through that song, and I haven't looked back since.

You are lovely together, but, DT, did you give us your girlfriend's name?!? I find your musing on BTS' journey from callow youth pursuing fame to men with something more to say and do interesting. To some extent I agree, though I doubt I'd call it spiritual, though perhaps there is a spiritual element. What I think happened is that yes, they started out wanting to do music and be famous (not necessarily all THAT rich) - Yoongi has told us this several times. But I think that after that (though quite early on) they met and got to know ARMYs, and heard the stories of their pain and how their music supported and helped heal them, and I think THAT really shaped their route. I agree that BSH's insight and vision was crucial : the man is a genius. At that time few idol groups had much if any freedom to make their own message or music, but BSH's instruction to them to contribute any way they liked was a licence to write, without which BTS would not have had RM or Yoongi!. Furthermore his instruction to not avoid fighting also taught them how to be honest and to be themselves. Both characteristics have been crucial in building relationships with ARMY - and ARMY is why BTS are as huge and successful as they are. And they don;t hide the fights. They tell us, sometimes they show us when the fight is going on /being resolved (clearly painful), and sometimes they are hilarious. I also think that ARMY is often the inspiration for BTS' work. It is quite a symbiosis. Many songs - Mikrokosmos, Magic Shop, Louder than Bombs, etc I look forward you seeing you both again soon
