As I delved deeper into BTS, I finally understood why they were such a phenomenon. Honestly, I was the one who looked down on them before. I put my mind on them based on all the stereotypes, stigmas, and skepticism. Now I get it. At this level, when it comes to BTS, it's not just about the best boyband/boygroup or whatsoever. It's about human being. A very good example of what it means to be a human. A good human in imperfection. They touched many hearts with their honesty, tenacity, sincerity, and modesty. That can never be imitated nor manufactured.

I wonder how many new Kpop groups write their own songs. I agree that part of BTS’s popularity, is that they sing about life experiences. Only the seven of them know everything they went through. Also, there is no jealousy between them. No one thinks they’re better than the others. Their genuine love for each other really sets them apart.

been an army (I'm Asian) for 7 years. I'm not into kpop. I'm only into BTS. imo, BTS is so loved by many because BTS is literally a part of our everyday lives. I found BTS during my depression, and their songs helped me to step foot out of my room. I also met many army at concert venues who found BTS during their difficult time. I did listen to some kpop songs before I became army but they just didn't leave any impact (at least for me).

I was first introduced to KPOP by BTS and I was really attached to them till now. I did try other group's songs, I like some of their songs but not attached to the group. I'm a person who gets bored easily if it isn't interesting. One thing I look at in music is that it should be meaningful or relatable. But most of the groups just try to rhyme their songs even though it's full of nonsense lyrics. It's good to hear but it easily gets boring. I'm an ARMY and also give a chance to other groups but as u said the gap between them is too huge. The fandoms and the company should stop focusing on breaking BTS achievements and try to become the next BTS. Instead they should make their own achievements. They should be known for their music, passion and talent not as next BTS

In my opinion, BTS is a unique, special, humble, talented and funny group 1. Unique because they have their own differences and characteristics in face, voice and personality. 2. special because you went from being a nobody to a legend. they are sincere and grateful to the army who has faithfully accompanied them since 0, and the army is sincerely grateful to BTS for fighting and surviving until now. remember at one of the events in 2018 RM said (a song will be meaningful if someone listens to it, just like a book will be meaningful if someone reads it) that's how ARMY views BTS. 3. humble because he is very close to fans and sincere as he is. 4. Each individual has their own talents but if put together they will produce extraordinary work, this is the first time I have found a group where almost all the songs are very pleasant to listen to and meaningful. 5. During my time in K-pop Gen 2 after Super Junior, BTS was a cute and cheerful group, they were not afraid to express their joy at every event. no one is as cheerful and funny as them

Because BTS are genuinely great artist, they can produce great music that is heartfelt, fun, sexy, and relatable. They are 7 individual artist, that have proven that they can ALL hold their own. But as a group they are SPECTACULAR & MIND-BLOWING!! They can touch you in all areas of musical pleasure with their anthems, rap/hip-hop, sexy ballads, jazz, funk, and soul music. I totally agree! Yes, it's the music - BTS had a hand in their music all the time - it had to pass what nessage they wanted to convey and their sincere feelings. Even in their solo music, they chose what music that would suit them in style and message. Also, yes, the fans can see the sincerity they have for each other and it reflects in their performances and shows, That is very important as well. They are not just a group but a family.

I listen to other groups and they're great too in their own way. I think it's just not fair for them or Kpop in general to be compared to BTS. Cause BTS is just something else, I'm not saying they're better, I'm just saying they're just different and incomparable.

It's quite obvious why there will never be another BTS... it's the same reason why there was never another Beatles or another Elvis or another Michael Jackson. It's not one thing that makes these artists the superstars that they become. It's a number of factors but the number 1 priority has to be the music, which is why other kpop groups are not able to get the results. BTS sound is very distinctive to them and I would not describe it as kpop and I don't think even in Korea they would consider their music kpop. Kpop relies too heavily on hooks and not enough attention is paid to the quality of the lyrics and melody to create a full well rounded song. Most kpop songs sound more like onomatopoeia to music rather than an actual song and they have fans who absolutely love that, but it's not the type of music that BTS produces. But another aspect of BTS that is constantly overlooked is their chemistry, personalities, and outstanding performance. Bang Si Hyuk struck gold with the 7 he put together and trying to recreate that dynamic is like trying to win the lottery twice. Simon Cowell tried to recreate it but people want more now than people stand there and sing. But another aspect is try and find kids in the "West" who would be willing to put in the work long term, train for years before ever releasing a song, or a label to invest so heavily before releasing a band is never going to happen. They want results fast, and Bang Si Hyuk has shown you invest in the kids ,give them time to bloom ,the stars align and then you get a once in a lifetime band.

The reason BTS has the success they have is because of how they connected with their fans on their daily YT logs, when social media was just in its infancy; their reality shows just gave ARMY a chance to see the members as regular people, thus becoming even more connected; BTS gives so much love and appreciation to ARMY, they thank ARMY first when they win the awards. SM is using different strategies to imitate everything BTS did or has, but they could only duplicate based on the things they can see. And the reason that Super M could never become the next BTS, is because that they aren’t even a real group. Thank you for this reaction. What made me a fan of BTS aside from their music is their personality and story. I also tried watching other groups before but I always stop halfway because it kinda feel like something is missing and it really doesn't make me wanna stick to them compared to when I'm starting to know BTS. I watched them grew from being a nobody and being looked down upon until they became a group nobody can treat carelessly and poorly. So I thought maybe I just don't empathize with them enough or something? So I was obsessed watching talent/survival shows at some point where trainees compete for top ranks to debut thinking that maybe I'll enjoy another kpop group as well. In end, still didn't work. I was only driven by curiousity at beginning but got bored overtime. That's the time I realized I'm not really into kpop but because it's BTS.

You know why they fail? Because there really won't be another 7 as them. I can't imagine any of todays kids living in a 1 bedroom flat, sleeping eating showering and shoved down each other throats basically. But you know that they had a good manager, no matter if you hate BANG PD or not, he was there for them day and night, helped them, taught them , disciplined them when needed, they both grew together. There wouldn't be another BTS because of Bang Pd and Bang PD wouldn't be where he is without the boys. They were determined and they were going to make it, the one thing I love about them, they will talk things through, they don't let hurts or slights fester, they deal with what is bothering them at the time it's bothering them. You can tell they are happy together. They really are family. And they put in the work, many years before they debuted, the standing on the streets, basically begging people to come watch them. I can't see today kids (boys or girls) doing that, they want it handed to them. They think that they get a trophy for showing up, no it's hard. We all think it's easy, it's not, it's many hours of practice, it's working through being hurt or sick and they just push through. And the #1, is that they are there for each other. Yes RM is the 'leader', but they all depend on each other, they know they can go to their manager or each other. Even if now they are living separately, they still depend on each other. Instead of trying to be THE NEXT BTS, try being themselves, but also know that it takes work, just cuz you show up doesn't mean you going to make it.

Eventhough I was not introduced to KPop with BTS, it was BTS who made me like KPop in the first place. Believe or not, it wasn’t their music that got my attention in the beginning... it was their personalities, V’s personality to be specific! I saw a fan edit video of VKook moments and I fell inlove with V in an instant, that’s why I looked for other videos of him and came across BTS’ Danger dance practice and I got sucked into the BTS rabbit hole in the blink of an eye! Now having seen that amazingly perfect dance practice, I started watching their live performance and was blown away by how they sing live as perfect as the studio record while dancing one of the most hardest and longest choreography I have ever seen! Hence, my standard for music and performance and for the artists themselves was set so high by BTS that until now... there’s no other artists could ever reach hence the reality that the main reason I’m not impressed when I watch other artists (KPop group in particular) compared to watching BTS was not because they’re not good... they’re actually great in my opinion but just not in the level of BTS . Now, I do like TXT, Enhypen and &Team so much compared to other 4th and/or 5th generation KPop groups coz for me they’re professionalism, personalities, demeanor, talent and artistry was in line or influenced by BTS because the people that evaluated, councelled, trains and guides them are the same people who were with BTS right from the start. In conclusion, I think they caught my attention, interest and affection before they even debuted was because they are BTS’ juniors in Big Hit (TXT) and HYBE (Enhypen and &Team) plus the fact that they also look-up and respect BTS and recognize BTS’ great contribution to the success and popularity of KPop and anything Korean (with respect to other Korean celebrities of course, specifically KDramas/Series)... and that BTS paved the way for other KPop artists to become famous globally. These are my own opinion so no hate. ✌️😊💜

I was introduced to "kpop" through BTS, but like many, I tried to listen to other groups. I ran into the same issue I have with western music, there are plenty of "bops" churning out of the music industry but not a lot of songs with real substance and true, authentic craftsmanship. I can't tell you how many hours of footage I've watched of BTS members, (RM and Suga predominantly) literally sitting down with ARMY via lives and Bangtan Bombs and going over the process of how they made a song, or how they constructed an album. RM talking about why he chose the lyrics he did or why he changed certain parts because the wording didn't flow right, (I Need You is a Prime example changing freind to girl because friend sounded to awkward as part of the chorus). That is something I never experienced, or at least very rarely experienced, with other loop groups and western music. I remember writing comments addressed to TXT, telling the that they had good music very different from any other K-pop group, but my main point was the team dinamics and chemistry, that they should become family, get to know their parents siblings and befriend them first, the second point was support each member teaching each other skills and treating them as family instead of friends. The Rose is great, original, talented, and a real musical band that play their own instruments, write their own songs with their own original messages, very well. The Rose does not try to copy or look like BTS. They are in a different lane completely, and I think they are amazing. Another group is Forestella, who are completely different again, and they are talented lovely men who do their own thing. Like for Real😂😂😅 One person Ego could ruin a great success .I got mad love for Bang PD😍from the get go. Even when they were not as popular as Today, He gave them the freedom to express and explore themselves musically without interfering. He might have 1or 2 opinions buh he does not let it overpower their decisions. You can definitely see this through the relationship they have with each other. They consider him as their “father” Brother and advisor.I don’t think they will be parting ways soon😂😂( Sorry for those who want the boys to leave the company for the suppose “Maltreatment “). BoraCity always come with facts & recipts. And it’s so true it’s hard for me to watch any other group because of BTS. Kpop do have some groups I like but like TXT but I see through passing. And BTS is all I watch & listen to. It’s hard for me to move to other groups. They’re just the baddest group. It’s so many reason why there can never be another BTS. Boracity is raw but honest... I also think she nailed it... If you try to be "the next BTS", thats only means you have no proper artistic identity and you'll be no reliable... Boracity is highly graduated in politic researches and socio-economics if Im not wrong, and you can check every source she used even in korean, everything is accurate. (also keep in mind english is not her first language, thats why its maybe hard for her to be picky in her words choices)

Exactly, when it comes to singing, rapping, performing and especially dancing, BP don't even come close. BP are only big because of media play and being IT girls on social media and working the circles in Hollywood. This then leads to the brand endorsements. Other GG focus more on their music artistry and performances making them more organic than BP.

I know people want what BTS has, the success, the popularity but they should make their success solely theirs not be in the shadow of BTS. Wouldn't it be sad and frustrating to be called BTS wannabes?. The formula works on BTS doesn't mean it will work on every artist. BangPD himself said that he's not sure if he can create the next BTS. Boracity magazine never disappoints.

I went to kcon and the whole time i was there watching, i wished BTS was there cause I kept compare them to BTS and no one can compare to BTS when it comes to live performance… personalities, music, stage presence, it’s magical when they are together…OH, did you see UMI reacted to your video of Tae and her song Where ever u r..
