Dan as I have commented before you really "Have it together" You bring a smile to this old guy's face (77) every time you "Shade Tree" something to get it to work. I look forward to your ingenuity. Anyone that rips on you needs their head examined. Most young guys today don't even know what a starter solenoid is. Let alone how to hook up a battery correctly. A shout out from North Carolina USA. Good Stuff. Also Dani is a nice touch.

Because of you two I decided to start building my own. I think I will go with a truck because winter here can be brutal and I need a daily driver. There’s a ‘79 bronco around the corner I want so I will walk up to the door with cash in hand if not I will try something else. The reason I want to build my own vehicle is because my dreams were crushed by many people and building my own rig is what I want to do so imma gonna do it for me.

Love the T ITS kind of hot rod I like simple and not overly engeneered so it will always be fun to fix if ever needed. I always use the starter sonolid to excit the alternator on my junk that I work on same wire use to go to dist to give 12 volts for easier starts. Then it dead ends in sonild and alternator in working, Like video keep em coming.

Hey Danny, Your throttle pedal setup looks like one from a 68 - 72 Nova. If you pickup a throttle cable for a 69 thru 72 Nova, I'm sure you can drill the right size hole in your firewall and hook it right up and it would work great. I'm not sure if they used the same setup after 72 but look at your Nova and if it's the same you'll see what I mean. Simple setup, and cheap to get, with no rigging. Good luck. Later

You can easily make ends for the battery cables, saving time, a trip to a supplier and some, but not mucho dinero. Use appropriate size copper (steel would work, too, or aluminum, in a pinch) tubing. Pinch an end in a vise, flatten, upsize (hammer!) and trim it further to fit your mental image of what it should look like, drill a hole for the starter stud, cut to length and crimp. (Drill before cutting to length, and you'll have a handle for when the drill bit grabs it.) Voila, ta-da, and Bob's your Uncle. Am I being Captain Obvious? It was a revelation to me when an old (then) parts counter guy, younger than I am now, told me. You're the beneficiary of free transmission of generational know-how here! Awowa!
