There's something I just realized about Thor's situation. He lost everything, he failed to stop Thanos from murdering half the universe. That alone would cause him to let himself go. But then think that even if they can bring everyone back, he gets no one back, because Heimdall and Loki and half his people weren't killed by the snap, so even if they somehow could undo what Thanos did, the people that Thor lost aren't coming back

In many ways this was captain america's avengers movie. Thor had his with IW and Iron Man dominated the first 2 but aside from the Snap, funeral and Tony/Howard (don't get me wrong all big moments) the movie's key beats, moments and focus was largely on Steve Rogers. As also someone that likes Cap most, it gave me a lot of pleasure he got his due. Also a nice feather in my cap to have predicted the mjolnir and cap/peggy scenes (and by predicting i was projecting those predictions to the world as something I hoped the movie would contain but had doubts about happening).

Something that gets overlooked is that Josh Brolin gives a hell of a performance as Thanos. Ruthless and scary yet controlled and calculating. Something I realised too. The same piece of music that plays in the funeral is the same in the start with Tony and Nebula in the spaceship. A very subtle foreshadowing.

That that ending right there healed the trauma i got from Captain America first movie cuz i was SHATTERED coming out of theatre watching 1st Cap movie but this this ending, he deserved it so so much, not only deserved, he earned it. I will miss Steve so much but I'm so happy he can now finally live his life after serving 100+ yrs of his life in saving and fighting for the humanity

We can all agree Tony had the best story in the MCU. He was willing to sacrifice himself since the BEGINNING of the MCU.

I have one problem with captain marvel, shes basically the only marvel character thats actually more powerful in the movies than the comics. In the comics hulk and thor easily beat her in strength and shes more on the level of iron man

They did the same thing with Doctor Strange. And kind of with Thor too. If they would have been shown at their prime, the movie could have ended a lot earlier. But the movie also did justice to some well deserving characters like Wanda and Cap, which was nice.

With Tony being my favorite hero of the MCU, I truly felt Jen's pain of him dying. It's exactly how I felt when I saw it for the first time. At least I still have Doctor Strange, which became my favorite later on (from previously being 2nd) but man I'll sure miss Tony, deeply.
