It did show the textbook difference between superheroes and villains that villains only care about their selfish goals and superheroes care about innocent people, so villains take advantage of that by putting them in danger to manipulate superheroes like Doc Ock did to those people on the train. The best adaptation of the character from the comic book page. This is the Spider-Man movie is where Raimi hit his stride. The fight on the subway train was fantastic. Peter Parker and his life as an underdog and not catching a break in all aspects of his life and still choosing to be a hero is why this character is world renowned. Everyone know who Spider-Man is along with Superman and Batman.
she looks at mary jane in a good light..she is not likeable shes not a great person to model yourself after she needs to be helped and sat down and told her issues but its her character in the comics and we get where she comes from and her insecurities dealing with peter but shes not a prize to win lets say to deal with her shit...you can see her side too is all and its nice to admit that...even fi you hate her...its hard to be invested in her when shes not that great of a romantic interest...i get it..shes not relateable...its more meh and cool for others to enjoy but for some of us its whatever...not the best part of the story...comic book fans want them together always so its a win for them...and hey its interesting to see that side of things...be cool with others enjoying a ship you may not be invested much in...but can understand...cause its what the character wants and it makes sense and is somewhat understandable

And when Otto's in the hospital and the arms are taking over killing all the doctors, you can actually hear a bone cracking sound when the arm grabs the lady doctor's leg. Gross. What I love about Jens reaction is as much as she loves the Stan appearances she also has the same fascination with the interpersonal storylines of all the Marvel films she’s watches that Stan also had. She more interested in the Harry subplot than Otto which is very much not what I was into when I remember watching it the first time but the importance of the Goblin/Osborne/Peter dynamic was also really important for Stan. He actually got into fights with Steve Ditko about whether Norman should’ve actually turned out to be the Goblin and now I can’t imagine Peters arch nemesis as anyone else

Fun fact for you, when MJ is running through the park in her wedding dress towards the end, at one point a man all in black on the right side of the screen glances back at her before walking away. This is the stuntman for the Thomas Jane Punisher movie that was coming out at the same time. While Jane himself wasn't able to show up for the cameo, it is 100% intended to be Jane's Punisher showing up in the film briefly, showing that his movie is set in the same universe as the Raimi Spider-Man films.

@@AudibleFist This isn't into the Spiderverse, this is Spider-Man 2. There wasn't enough time in between the events of him losing his webs and losing the rest of his powers to create web shooters. He wouldn't have been able to create them before he lost everything else. What the Director could have done was have Peter draw up a blueprint of a web shooter design, but not go any further than that. It would have been a cool nod to classic spiderman. Off topic: But organic webs for spiderman makes more sense overall. He is a superhero based on a spider, not an ant or a gecko. To be a true SPIDERman, he needs natural webbing, not a mechanical add-on. Web Shooters are silly. No offense. I do believe web shooters are cool, but they are illogical. I made a video on it if you want to check it out. Have a great day.

@@GhostMan407 the performances in the Raimi trilogy make a lot of things in them see silly. That scene might be symbolic of what Spider-Man is but the execution is flawed.
