I love these types of videos. Where you just play around with your synths. You're doing what most of us would do if we had those synths. I've been finding myself going to Guitar Center almost every week just to spend an hour playing with the grandmother. Whenever I'm not doing that I just come back to these videos, lol.

Did you ever end up getting one? Definitely gotten the synth bug before and it doesn’t go away until you do 😂

This is great! I like playing my Grandmother through the Little Plate reverb.

And that's how you do a proper monosynth-jam. Chapeau!

Your videos made me fall in love with this synth like, a year ago, and I finally was able to purchase one on Monday. Still waiting for it to show up in the mail but man I'm stoked. It's gomna be my first analog synth

Congrats! You're in for a fun ride with this synth! I've had it for about a year now, and it's still my favorite mono synth. It sounds different from the Boog and the LP. the filter has different character, and while there may be some some overlap, it is it's own thing. have fun !

I also love it and want it but it's too expensive for me, i'm just 15 years old and that would cost me like 3 years of saving up, so i'm aiming for a midi controller instead, to control all the vsts i have :)
@nedfo724 жыл бұрын
@@habdman Good call. As fun as the Grandmother is (I've been playing with it since last Friday), it's genuinely not necessary. Yes, I will absolutely be using it in my work and it's been very inspiring, but it's not necessary. I've spent years just working with vst's and a midi controller, and that is absolutely sufficient for a working producer/songwriter/composer, etc. That being said, treating yourself to analog/hardware goodies when you can is always good too, but they're honestly just toys that can be used as a tools, not tools themselves

Really great! Some of these melodies sound more they come from unique acoustic instruments than a synth.

This sounds awesome! I recently just got my first monophonic analog synth: the Moog Grandmother. Excited to start using it more and more, especial my with my guitar pedals and reverb plugins :) Love the tones you’ve created on the GM, really nice sound overall!

I have really been on the fence regarding Valhalla, trying to make good use of what I already have. They are SUPER impressive, and the built-in verb is so good on Grandma. What the hell?
@ulakasfranz19604 жыл бұрын
can you recommend an reverb effect pedal which can come close to the valhalla sound or generally a hardware reverb for analog monophonic synthesizer you like to use? great content ;) cheers

I don’t understand the idea of special reverb plugins... aren’t the stock plugins in logic good enough? What’s the difference

Dream Secoya it’s not so much that one is better, just that they aren’t the same, and a lot of people have a preference.

Reverb VSTs can provide greater configurability or model certain characteristics. ValhallaVintageVerb models classic reverb effects including artifacts such as down-sampling that colored the sound.
