haha I cant believe you picked up that Tanglewood! I played mine to death in a jam band through a Marshall and finally burnt it when I couldn't get the bridge to glue back on! Proper loud. I pissed them off in the shop but they were happy when I can back with the money. Whatever bullshit wood the top is made of mine broke by the neck and shifted! Loved it! If I was going to luthier one of them I would go all out and have an actual piece of wood top.

Maybe I'm just not aware of the story but with charlies guitar it seems sorta unkind for the family to claim "oh we won't sell it to you, person who has sentimental attachment to this guitar and would value it for the memory of his lost friend" and instead chuck it up on marketplace for some stranger to have without even asking you first knowing you were interested. It's lucky you got it, but I don't get refusing to sell it to you at first and then changing their mind later and completely neglecting to check if you still were interested

I prefer big 100watt daddy cane 2x12’s fender combo amps , that aside… Your 15w Classic fender tones in that lil bugger can rip my ears 👂off & that’s the way I would want it 😂 I Recently purchased a Peavey 20 watt mh lunchbox head used , running speaker cable across my living room to my Roland 1x8” speaker 🔊 and holy cow 🐄 what a great combo + sounds , great EQ + great pedal platform …and your peavey demonstration is as beautiful as my Peavey combo gear setup , except my peavey tube head has 5 more watt horsepower 😂. I will tell you this video will make me think again about bigger Peavey combo amps 4 sure.

The one I would love to try out and see how it feels is your Oswald 'Splithead'. I love the look of that, although the BC Rich Mockingbird and the Columbus ES-335/330 are dark and mysterious. 😄 I think the one which I would like to see but would be scared to touch or maybe be even in the same room in would be Charlie's Telecaster because of the provenance and the history of how much Charlie and his guitar meant to you. Yes, merry new year and all that! That Hondo Strat copy in natural looks eerily similar to my 1975 Fender Strat. Mine's not a hardtail, though, but it's set up like one. Can't be bothered with all the faff of tremolos and their tuning issues and what-not.

Cool collection!!! An Eko Ranger 12 string was the first guitar I ever bought from a shop, back in 1971. I still have it. It sat in our loft for probably 20 years. The soundboard is (understandably) cracked, though it's flattened out a lot since I brought it back down. I've since bought a Taylor 112, but I can't see myself ever getting rid of the Eko.

Wonderful video and a joyful journey through your collection. My favourites, there are a few. The Vintage V6 is up there, I think of your reaction when you first played it. The ML1, I have one the same and I feel that as a sort of connection, great guitar too. Then there’s the ML3 Pro X, I’ve been lucky enough to get one myself, although mine is in black metallic. Mr Whites 50’s brother is fantastic and I just had to get them together with you. The single most significant guitar in your collection for me is…. The Vintage Lemon Drop. Happy New Year Dave! Of all your guitars I'd love to play the black '62. I remember seeing your video a year or two ago comparing your Strats, and the black '62 was the one that really stood out to me, even over Mr White. I'd love to have a Strat like that. Cheers and happy 2024.

Hang on, I forgot the Mockingbird, what a special day that was I picked it up in Nottingham in the morning, went to my first Trio gig in Newark in the afternoon before handing it over. It was a perfect example of how things can go smoothly when everything lines up.

Hi Dave I am really considering getting a Oswald guitar. I’m just curious how much the pearly king would roundabout cost to make, if I’m not mistaken he gifted it to you. So if you got a estimated number in mind let me know. I love the wood finish on that guitar and the pickups sound incredible from previous vids I’ve seen. Luckily I have access to all my son's guitars so I can choose whichever I fancy on that day. Today I have learned the beginning riff to master of puppets which I remember my son learning 14 years ago. I'm sure he learned it a lot faster than I did 😂😂 Happy new year to you both ❤️

Great Gtr Collection, how do you compare your Jet Neck vs the Oswald te (maroon red) and hpw do you compare the Vintage(white one) neck vs the Jet Gtr? ( I am debating between both brands)
