I find myself going back to this video to listen to your rough track (I have the one on iTunes downloaded), to escape from how chaotic life can be. Years ago I stumbled across this video because I wanted to dye my hair, and genuinely wanted to feel different while living with toxic parents. Now here I am, living with a room mate, states away from the toxicity (yet they seem to creep into my life here and there), and thinking how far I have came since this video (and so have you tbh). My hair is about the same lenght as yours when you're wearing extensions, but i only use 4/5 of the bottle, and mix the rest with some conditioner and use it everytime i wash my hair so it last longer.

As someone who recently dyed their hair blue-green, I want to answer your question because I was really lost and nice people helped me. The color of the conditioner doesn't matter. What does matter is the color of your hair. If your hair is yellow and you dye it a light blue, it is going to turn out a bit greenish (for me, it turned out quite greeninsh because I used Special Effects "fishbowl" mixed with Manic Panic "enchanted forest" on top of yellowish hair). she used the la riche directions hair colors I guess and you'll normally find them in any shop where you can buy any hairdresser equipment. or just try it on amazon, you can find these colors there too.

Generally the same amount of time, depending on how often you wash your hair - it can last 2-4 weeks, but if you're doing it with the conditioner you're getting more out of a tub and it'll last you absolutely ages, plus it's easy to redo :)

I use directions and have pale pink hair and it's start off quite bright but then fade out to a pale pink then it stays that way for aaages x Could you do a video on how to bleach your roots? she dilutes it with conditioner because not only does it make the color she's working with lighter (pastel), but it also makes a-lot more dye so she can do her whole head+extensions it's a-lot cheaper that way, since buying two little tubs of lilac would only give her one use, she'd rather buy just one of a dark purple color, only use a tiny scoop of it and dilute it with conditioner that's only about 50p a bottle :) then save the rest of the dye for re-dying and such, hope this helped :)

when i did mine with the same method it fades in like 5 washes but if you want to keep it longer you just literally put a little in your conditioner bottle and every time you have a bath or whatever just put it on even for a minute

I dyed mine pastel lilac in hope that it would fade out before I had to go back to school. However it got to a certain point where it just stopped fading, it stayed a super pale lilac. I had to dye it back blonde unfortunately x

Yeah, you totally can! Any semi-permanent dye where you do not mix a colorant with a developer, can be diluted like that, UNLESS very carefully stated. But Manic Panic, Ion, or any dye like that can be diluted exactly like she did here. Hope that helps! ^_^

hey, when i did my tips pink (conditioner+hair dye) it came off in a few washes. My hair is blonde :D and i did have bright pink hair too at one point and it went to an orangey colour and then back to blonde. I was my hair about 2-3 times a week. Hope this helps xx

I have a question, why do you use conditioner and not just the colors themselves? Wouldnt that make the dye harder to take ? Or is it to get the pastel look? Apparently it is best to use white conditioner, as otherwise the dye colour can be changed slightly.

Because the dye is diluted with conditioner. It doesn't stain badly, or at all. And its not damaging to skin. ;b
