Bleached hair is always damaged. That's the drawback, however it's just hair - it grows back. May as well enjoy experimenting.

It's all temporary hair colors, they don't damage hair at all. You could leave the color on for hours and it wouldn't make the hair fall. The only reason her hair is damaged is because of the bleaching that she had to do in order for her hair to be light enough to use bright colors.

to fix the damage of your hair, use some coconut oil and also, you should really use gloves, i know i hate to get dye anywhere but my hair. but the color turned out awesome

If you dilute purple with the conditioner so it looks like a pastel colour in the dish it will work as a toner as blues and purples tone out yellow just incase you wanted to save money on toner

Looks lovely! You should put some serum in the ends of your hair so it looks smoother. Thats what I do cause I use alot of blonde hairdye and it looks dried out when I first dry it after washing, so I always add some shine serum!

Bleaching does damage hair, but if you condition your hair well and let it relax a bit before bleaching it again or dyeing it, then the effects aren't so bad :) I'd wait a few days after bleaching before dyeing with semi-permanent color, but if it doesn't end up light enough and you need/want to bleach it again, I'd wait for at least two weeks before another bleaching so your hair has some time to recover. I'm not a hair stylist/profesisonal, just speaking from experience :D

I do love directions, I plan on bleaching the underlayer of my fringe and just going through with various colours I have stored away just to add a pop of colour. Maybe the violet and lavender didn't need the conditioner :P

She does bleach her hair :3 I dyed my hair red and then went white blonde which is the colour you need it to be for pastels to take to it. I used a colour remover and then throughout about 2-3 months died my hair to a white colour :3 Bleach won't make your hair fall out uless you don't follow the instructions and if you space it out and get treatments your hair should be fine :3

its super super awesome! but i think its hard to keep it because diluted directions fades reallly quickly (as you probably know) and if you want to dye it again you cant just put it all over and wait, you have to be very secure and precise. that what i would find annoying

haha use a tiny bit of atomic turquoise for my pastel pink and lavender hair too ~_~* did you ever tried directions tulip for pink hair? its much more concentrated than flamingo and carnation pink for example..looks quite reddish in the pot but mixed with conditioner, it becomes a pretty pastel pink shade ^_~ i always mix a bit of tulip with atomic turquoise to get shades of lilac as well so that i don't have to buy that color :)

Her hair isn't damaged from the semi-permanent colours; they're like a vegetable dye, and like all semi-permanent dyes they don't damage your hair because they don't use harsh chemicals to take out the colour already in your hair (Which is what permanents do; they take out the natural colour in your hair and deposit the colour in the bottle, whereas semi's just put colour on top of the hair). Basically she's just rubbed blue and pink beetroot juice in her hair. She just needs to stop using heat
