Thank you so much - I’m a 52 year old lady who had a child in my late 40’s. The combination of postpartum hormones then going straight into peri have wrecked havoc on my once lovely hair and it now falls out in handfuls so your advice is really appreciated and helpful. A video specifically about getting the most out of middle aged hair and tackling the problems ( stubborn greys / colour not taking as vividly, coarse, frizzy hair, thinning hair etc) would be amazing!

You’re most welcome, I’m so glad it was helpful - I’ve had peri/post clients that have used the serum and noticed a difference. That’s a great idea, thank you - I’ll poll it on my community page.

Can you teach us more about coloring gray hair. And dealing with how porous it becomes? Thank you so much for sharing your wealth of knowledge!!!!
@theworldofcraig2 ай бұрын
I do have a few videos that mention colouring grey hair and one that is specifically focused on toning the grey. In my opinion grey hair may change texture a little (in some folks) but it doesn’t really get a lot more “porous”. If you want to address a texture change treatments etc are the way to go. *And that is often a trial and error process as all heads of hair react differently to different masks/treatments etc.

@jenxsj39022 ай бұрын
@@theworldofcraig Craig I meant Finasteride and Dutasteride the active ingredients in Propecia and Avodart, two 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. The exossomes, well they promise a lot, on the same lines of the PRP, (which coincidentally I have done today). I had two lots of injections in my crown area so far, so not sure, these things claim they provide long term benefits and as you correctly said we need to manage our expectations. The injections with exossomes and peptides are far less painful than PRP I will tell you this much…..

Great video thanks. When I had alopecia areata, I knew I had to act quick, as I knew, once the hair follicle becomes dead, it's the end, so it needs stimulating fast. I used minioxidil. Is finasteride not good for women because of efrects on the prostrate? During menopause I shedded more hair. I also have thin or very few eyebrow hairs, I've had microblading now. It's funny how men go bold but can have really thick eyebrows! I also used a DHT blocker shampoo with saw palmetto in and left it on for 15mins. Your right, a combination of things helps. What do you think to the DHT blocker shampoos? Thanks for all your research 😊
@theworldofcraig2 ай бұрын
Awww, thank you…and thanks for watching, your ongoing support is wonderful. Finasteride isn’t recommended to women as it interferes with hormone levels - that’s as far as I got on my research on that tract. Hmmm, not all of us, mine are not all my own! There’s no data or evidence to suggest that DHT blocker shampoos do anything to the follicle. You are most welcome. 👨🏼🙏🏻✨

Yes I think its important to keep the scalp/hair follicle clear, I sometimes use umberto Giannini scalp scrub, its like an exfoiliater to remove dead skin and build up. I might try the Ordinary scalp treatment, I love their products. Thanks. Your hair looks great by the way 👍

Can you please do a video on colouring extensions? I’d love to go from a warm medium brown to a dark brown but I’m terrified to ruin the extensions

That is on my list - but alas the algorithm over here is such that I suspect no one would see it. All of my hair colour videos are applicable for colouring ALL hair. If you’ve spent a lot on your extensions I’d advise seeking a pro to do it.

Thank you so much!! Can minoxidil change your hair dye color? Since it's put on the scalp, at the root of the hair, I was wondering if it might affect my hair dye color (I'm a dark blonde). My father and uncle both have white hair and have used minoxidil for years. Both of them noticed their hair turned a more yellow color after using minoxidil. Your videos are so helpful and well researched. Thank you!

You’re welcome, so glad you enjoyed it. It is in an alcohol base, so that could affect that colour but I don’t know enough about the formula (or your hair) to pass comment on it - perhaps the manufacturer could help?

Hi Craig, you very kindly answered a question a couple weeks ago on instagram, with excellent advice. Heres another question, I color my roots every three weeks because I have a lot of gray and my hair grows fast. My hair is chocolate brown ( I was using 5, now I'm moving to 1/2 5+1/2 6 My question is, I only color the roots, should I be putting something on the rest of the hair a gloss? I saw one by Loreal or some other product ???

Hi there, of course, that’s what this is all about for me. I would suggest something like a colour conditioner over an actual colour.

13:28 the thing that I don't like about rubbing stuff on my scalp is that my hair will then look so greasy. I stopped using the Mielle hair oil (did not do anything with one application per day)

The serum is water based - it isn’t an oil. It makes my super fine hair look greasy but once it’s dry you can’t tell it’s there. The ingredient I mention is backed my data and science…

My derm just prescribed an oil based serum that has minoxidil, finasteride, the med that's in latisse (the name escapes me), caffeine and melatonin.
@theworldofcraig11 күн бұрын
You could be referring to Prostaglandin analogues…? I’ve done no research in them being used in hair growth formulas but I stopped using eye lash serums with them in as there can be side effects. I’m not suggesting there would be with scalp products, just mentioning it.
@vmmurphy391811 күн бұрын
@@theworldofcraig I asked derm about that exact concern and she said it's ok on the scalp . I won't use Lattise after I heard what could happen to the eyes.
