It took me a while to watch this video. I have followed you for many many years and always loved to sing Indy the pup. It's been almost 2 years since I lost my beloved baby girl and I still break down over it. In fact, it's been over 20 years since I lost my first heart dog in the pain is still there. I still remember everything she smelled how she moved. In her later years she had gone blind and she learned to move around by cues on her back. I would touch her a certain place and she would understand that she had to walk that way. They really do leave an indelible mark on your soul. I'm so sorry for your loss I truly understand this pain. And I'm sending you so much love and strength because it's really the only thing that has gotten me through it. The love of my friends and family in the strength of professionals who has helped me get through this unthinkable pain. Thanks for sharing Indy with the world. 💔❤

Our black lab was a runt in a litter that had parvo and ended up being the only one that survived, so we rescued her, took her home, knowing she may not have long. For being a runt and surviving parvo, she lived 17 wonderful years ❤️ passed away last summer

The bestest boy, may he meet you on the rainbow bridge in due time. Something very similar happened with my sweet girl, Lucy, over 20 years ago. She was an Alaskan Malamute, up to 75 lbs. when she stopped being able to walk and eat on her own…. Veterinarians didn’t make house calls back then. I’m so thankful that you were able to be with Indy and hold him at the end. So many times, those sweet companions are left in a strange, cold room with the vet, because the family can’t bare to stay to witness… The vets and nurses know how the animal’s eyes search the room, looking for their loved ones and not finding them. It is such a gift to be there for them as they were always there for you. Blessed Be, Chris. Rest Easy, Sweet Indy.

Months after his passing I had the most wonderful dream that I was holding him and received the message, "thank you". I could feel his warmth and he was glowing with health. I went through the EXACT same thing, last year on Mother’s Day, I couldn’t let my baby suffer one more day. He was ALWAYS a good eater (plantbased, supplements, Whole Foods….). I said the day he stops eating, it would be time (I had to assist in his walking, wee wee pads, pampers…..). Mother’s Day last year, he was close to 20. I adopted him from the shelter, thinking I’m saving him, it took awhile before I realized he was saving me. I went to sleep crying last night just thinking about him. His bed is still there with his ball, frisbee, and teddy bear. It’s also the bed where the vet came and he took his last breath, with me telling him how much I love him, repeatedly in his ear. Yes, I still have a few pets, but he was the one who brought the most joy in my life (interactive, long walks, frisbee, fetch). My angel on earth, close to 20 yrs old, and I still feel I was robbed. It’s painful, I carry his collar while walking my little one, so that He’s always with us. He is missed sooo much Condolences on your loss, I understand 💔💚

Thank you for for sharing your story. I have always had several dogs, over 50 years. Lost all but four of of them, and it never gets easier. People are often fickle and self-centered, while a dog's loyalty and love are steadfast. At this point, and I'm not happy to say it, I prefer animal companionship over human companionship. As for the dogs that I've lost, I have read everything that I could find on digs in the afterlife. During the time in the US when there was a lot of interest in spirituality and the afterlife, there were exceptional mediums who brought people and their departed pets together. It is said that a bond of love can't be broken, I expect to find myself in a crowd of wagging tails when I leave this world, this world where there isn't enough love.

My sweet kitty boy of 15 years is in the end stages of kidney failure. I do everything I can to take care of him to keep him comfortable. He was a street rescue, and I know we've given him a wonderful life, but saying goodbye in slow motion to the purest hearted friends we will ever have is indeed the hardest thing. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Back in September of last year, I lost my best friend-- a 13 1/2 year old Red Mackrel Tabby named Buster and my heart has been broken since. I do agree that the final pain is worth the years and years of love. I hope you find comfort as you journey through your grief. I've had quite a few cats and lost many-- and mourned a great deal. But as my wife said of Buster, "He was an exceptional cat-- hell, he was an exceptional BEING." I wish you peace and tranquility as you navigate the days and months ahead.

We had him in hydro-therapy, massage, etc. Eventually he succumbed and we had to say goodbye. He was the best boy ever as I know yours was, too. They make us better people and teach us so much. Indy will always have a special place in your heart, but there are so many wonderful dogs waiting in shelters and rescues for their forever homes. If you have the means to adopt, please do. Any dog would be lucky to have such a compassionate guardian as you.
