Gut health is directly linked to mental health since a lot of components made for some of our hormones and chemicals are made in our gut! Being someone diagnosed with Crohn's disease, that has been my biggest challenge.

Thank you so much for opening up about this. I’ve felt so alone lately in regards to dealing with bad gut health. I’m only 23 and my anxiety and depression have caused me to have IBS, chronic fatigue and allergies. I often feel like a useless person on a daily basis because I never feel normal. Watching your video has given me hope 💗

Sorry that your going through all of that! I highly recommend seeing a really good functional medicine doctor. They look for the root cause of your symptoms instead of just suppressing your symptoms with meds. They definitely offer better treatments for chronic diseases even ibs in my opinion. Hope you feel better soon!!

It’s nice to hear a fitness influencer and just another person talk about these kinds of issues! I discovered within the last two years that I have celiacs disease and it causes a lot of the same issues you got from your implants, especially the brain fog and the healing process is not easy especially at first but I feel sooooo much better now! And it’s really helped me become more conscious of the foods I put into my body and forced me to learn how to Cook more which is wonderful :)

This is way off topic but I met you at body power expo in 2016... I won't lie at that point I wasn't fully immersed in the gymshark family, so I wasn't aware of who you were. When I met you, you were unbelievably kind & sweet. You were the nicest person I'd met & I had to follow you when I got back. I feel like because you suffered with anxiety, you really put me at ease because I have social anxiety quite badly. Such a nice experience ❤️

Just made sure to mention to your decorator that you're wanting wallpaper in a bathroom, there may be some special wallpaper paste they can order/use depending on the paper you choose. Wallpaper tends to peel off in bathrooms due to the moisture in the air. I'm an interior designer so have seen many people make this mistake, hope this helps x

Thanks for sharing this! I've been working with a registered dietitian to address the same issues. I was so surprised that the symptoms I was having, which were similar to yours, could be caused by my diet. I'm on week three of working with the dietician and most of my symptoms have resolved! Keep it up! It can be hard to make these changes, but is SO worth it!

I’m on the same journey (sans breast implant Illness) my histamine intolerance and gut issues were triggered by covid. Finally found a different doctor who took my long haul symptoms seriously and she put me on a high protein low carb diet (which is totally opposite of how I was eating before). I’ve had the most consecutive days of feeling good in a row since I had covid last March. Fermented foods also trigger my symptoms.. as well as stress, sugar, alcohol of course (can’t even have a couple of sips of wine). I have been able to tolerate Raw women’s probiotics (it’s a little pink bottle) without it flaring my symptoms up. So glad you found what’s working for you!

Yes, please make more videos on healing the gut and what you eat in the day. I'm 27 and I just recently found out that I suffer from histamine intolerance also. It's so upsetting for me to know that I have caused this by being careless with my diet and lifestyle - like you said in the video and on Instagram - it is not all about the macros and eating everything in moderation. I look forward to more content! :)

This was so interesting! I’ve also been dealing with gut health issues and currently trying the elimination diet (guided by a naturopath), it’s crazy how much it impacts! Also years in the fitness world and competing for sure made an impact as well! Hello, I have been watching your vids for a while but this is my first comment. Good for you for taking your health into your own control. I also struggle with brain fog, chronic fatigue, and several other of the symptoms you have mentioned. I have several autoimmune diseases, with Rheumatoid Arthritis being the big one I have had for 30 years, but for the last 7 years I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Many of the symptoms you mentioned are the exact same symptoms of Fibromyalgia. You might want to question your doctor next time you see him. I am on a medicine called Lyrica and it has done wonders for helping to make the brain fog and pain go away. I can actually be a functioning human being once again.

Hi Robin! Have you ever considered trying a whole foods plant based diet? I experienced issues with my gut & digestion for years, and 90% of them were fixed when i cut out meat and then other 10% when i cut out dairy! I introduced new foods each time i cut something out so it was a slow transition and never felt restrictive. I feel a lot more in tune with my body now and am so glad i did it :) its all about balance though and im glad this is working for you!

As a holistic gut health practitioner, I’m so glad to hear that you started looking into gut health! It’s super common for people who have taken rounds of antibiotics and undergo surgery to be left with an imbalanced microbiome. Because some of your symptoms still persist I highly recommend seeking a professional (which you’re doing) who can run a gi-map test to get a more in depth look into the gut and determine what needs to be addressed! This paired with an MRT test will allow you to see which foods you’re reactive to so you only need to temporarily eliminate those specific ones and have more confidence & choices when it comes to food! I take this approach with my clients, feel free to ask me questions! IG:@thedailyserenity
@vstam3904 жыл бұрын
Just curious,why would one temporarily remove those foods if a person is reactive? Wouldn't you remove indefinitely as best you can?
@TheDailySerenity4 жыл бұрын
@@vstam390 great question! Its because usually it's not ultimately the food that's the issue (say a person turned out to be reactive to celery), it's that their gut is "leaky" and their immune system has developed a negative response to it. After strengthening digestive function & strengthening the gut lining you should be able to tolerate it again. It depends on the person they may be able to tolerate it no problem or up to a certain quantity. The goal is to allow you to eat as many foods as possible so I wouldn't want someone to have to eliminate something forever!
