They ask what seems like a simple question but you know it's about more than the surface. How do you approach it? How do you gather data, organize your thoughts, and answer when you don't have time to prepare?

In Germany we can legally drink beer from the age of 16, liquor from the age of 18. So going to bars and pubs in college is a very common thing indeed. However, parties like the one in episode 3 at Cyril’s house are rich people stuff, haven’t experienced anything like that so far xD Thank you so much for your reactions!

I see that my fellow Europeans are sharing their drinking experience so I will add mine. I am French and the legal drinking age is 18. In private settings like weddings, Christmas parties, I started drinking a bit of Champagne at 15-16. And I definitely went to bars when I was in uni 😁 Thanks for your Maxton Hall videos. It was a joy to follow you. This show was such a good surprise!!

Also for question: During „college“ (which is not really a thing in Central Europe bc here that’s just what we call university) it’s really common to go to bars. In Austria for example the legal drinking age is 16 (for beer and wine) so u can imagine how that goes lol

I also thought about that. 🤔 A friend of mine who read the books told me that the Dad is getting even more worse in the next books and that he will do some things we will totally hate him for. 😳😵 But my reaction on this was just: How is this even possible? Cause I'm already hating it now.😅 What is he supposed to do that it will be possible to hate him more than now😱?

in my country we can legally drink from 18yrs old but everybody drinks from 16-17 so in usa i would be arrested XD

I need the second season too. The obsession I have with this fictional couple is real🤣. I hope they release it the next year. As for the alcohol, it also seemed strange to me that they could go to a pub and order it. In my country at least (Spain), it´s legal at 18. But it also seems strange to me, for example, that they speak German if the series is set in England.😅

Even worse than the simple fact that his mother died and his awful father didn't tell them in time to say goodbye is that James and her had harsh words and feelings as their last interaction. He has to live forever with that. Knowing that he didn't make his peace with her before she died, even though he did get to a better place emotionally in time to do so. He didn't call or text her to make it right, but figured he could do that when he got home. The heart hurts. Luckily, with the kids being 18, they could technically take the easy out of "college" to simply move out and live somewhere less toxic while James takes art classes, Ruby goes to Oxford, and his sister tends to her child. It could totally work for all of them. I doubt it will, but it could. They don't have to emancipate to legally live on their own, or worry about money. The kids' trust funds could probably set them up nicely without their inheritance from their mom. With it, they could likely finance any life they want.

I think, like a lot of "drivers" for really rich people, Percy is likely actually a bodyguard with a law enforcement or military background of some sort. The thing is, I bet that he works for "the family" paid by family money and so, because he knows the money is actually through the mom's family and he may even have worked for the family before she married the jerk, he is more protective of her and the kids than Mortimer. I can't wait to see the fallout from the reading of mom's will, when likely most of her money and power will pass to the kids instead of the jerk she married. Especially given that the kids are both 18 and of age to get and manage their inheritance on their own.

I honestly dont know what the second season will look like. I dont know if there is any more story to tell that is as compelling as the first season. So i hope the writers and director and actirs surprise us. We all want the story to continue in a way that is executed as beautifully as this one.

Yep, here in italy it's legal to drink at 18+ so we start to do Aperitivo or go drinking and clubbing pretty soon. We also usually stop sooner too, after having some years of fun

I’m from Brazil and I was in college both here and England I used to go to bars here ever since I was 18 and when I went to England I was 19 and went to pubs there too… but I remember going to the US on a trip when I was 20 and not being allowed to drink … something I’ve never understand about America is how you’re considered responsible enough to literally drive a car around at 16 which could potentially be a weapon even but you’re not allowed to drink at 18 like ☠️☠️☠️ by the time I turned 21 I was already sick of it 😂😂😂
