I’ve played Lucy’s version of “My heart will go on” against Celine Dion’s version, I did the same with Etta James version of “at last” and also “Cats”. Thanks Everett. She could have 'slayed any dragon' at 15 but now the world is her oyster. As an ex professional musician albeit in a military band all I can say is Lucy is up there with the best . I am sure we will be hearing her golden voice for many years to come, together with all of the emotion, seamless key changes, expression, timing and pure perfection. Lucy and her sister have done their version of 'You Raise Me Up' they even give the version by the Celtic Women a run for their money , and I have always maintained that is the best recording of that song in existence.

My grandmother was a self-taught (no lessons) operatic singer. Stories of being a wedding singer and being invited to study Opera singing in Italy (back in the 50s) come to mind. Being an Elizabeth Taylor look-alike probably helped her cause. Her formative years, she lived with her extended family of Irish immigrants in Australia. Her uncles were always energetically singing this and that - and she would sing along also. She told me this is how she leant how to sing!

I listen to Lucy's beautiful voice over and over and it never ceases to mesmerize me. Then i look and find out she was only 16. She is so good, that her age doesn't matter. On her fan site is video of when she was 11. She was even singing beautifully then. Her talent is just absolutely amazing.
