As many have said, "Plus Ultra" is simply the motto of U.A. and their alumni, but All Might combined it with a... "Special attack", that you will learn the specifics of later on in the show, which is why it might have been confusing. In essence, All Might was just saying he would force his body to go beyond its limit, effectively comparable to a normal person in real life tearing muscles from overexertion.

Indeed, even in our society killing someone in self-defense is taken very, very seriously and even injuring someone, imagine making it your profession to fight people to protect more so than the police. Even if you get out of it with evidence in your favor, your reputation may forever be tarnished as a hero for it happening in the first place. Worse if you're a student trying to become a hero, nobody will want you incase there's some truth to you being reckless and bloodthirsty. It may sound ridiculous but there's reasons even situations where it was the only option is judged, cause if it weren't you could end up with a more corrupt society where deaths can be measured in value. Someone's life, no matter the criminal or villain, should have equal weight to someone innocent, cause without that the line between when you can kill someone or not can easily get blurry and suddenly you got people acting as executioners who can decide whether you live or not even if you may be innocent, and then you'll get people basing these values on their own morals and biased justice systems, which is often played around in anime stories as something negative.

Here's a brief power scale between heroes-in-TRAINING (IF YOU FORGOT THE POINT OF WHY THEY ARE IN UA) and pro heroes: Take your STRONGEST *student* from 1-A and chances are, he/she will never match up to anything at All Might's level. Hell, they won't even touch any of the Top 10 Pro Heroes (except maybe one of them...but he isn't a pro hero by strength), even if they go plus ultra. That's just me being optimistic.

He thought it was a villain's doing, so he called for his mom. He hugged his mom and she decayed hefore him. His dad saw and told shigaraki he was a discrase and a mistake. Then shigaraki out his hands on the ground, making thr ground decay along with his houses floor walls and his family. He killed his family... then all for one found him and took him in as his son. Are you guys watching the OVAs? You guys are probably super ahead of this by now, but the first OVA is after this season finale, and then there's some other stuff that have different chronological placements if you want to find and watch them. For specifics: the second OVA is set in the middle of 2x20, you can probably watch it before or after it; episode 3x20 is a prequel to the "Two Heroes" movie, which you can technically watch there, but both chronologically take place between season 2 and 3; and then there's some 2 minute short set before the movie that you can find on youtube somewhere (altho most people would say to save it for after season 3)

Something very important for you guys to keep in mind is the motivations of the characters on this series, it is not like DBZ (be strong and kill the bad guy) its more like Spiderman, no matter how dangerous the situation is you dont expect Peter killing the villains (in comics), the heroes have to try by all means to keep human lost to a minimum not in a rational way but in an absolute way, like an ideal, this includes the villains lives. - If you dont keep this in the back of your head you are going to get angry a few time on this anime.

Obviously if something awesome happens we’ll yell something like “Let’s go!” but we always know what’s going on and we never scream so loud that we don’t know what’s going on. It’s annoying when someone screams and misses information.
