Endeavour is a bad person, but you don't need to be a good person to be a hero. Being a hero is a job not a moral standing. As for his treatment of Shoto's mom, he abused her heavily throughout their relationship. His abuse of her is what caused her mental breakdown when she hurt Shoto. I think Shoto is trying to work through his issues regarding his dad's abuse by facing it. He can't go on not knowing how to use his powers and his dad (no matter how much of a PoS he is) is the best one to teach him. He hasn't forgiven him, but he needs his help.
@shockzz12345 жыл бұрын
Yup. You have to remember - statistically, Endevour has saved more lives and beaten more villains than even All Might himself. He knows what he's doing, as a hero, but he's just a dick with a terrible personality. Plus, as you said, Shoto needs to learn to control his fire power, who better to teach him then the guy with fire powers?
@SolaticSyot5 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry, but I'd hardly consider smacking someone once as them having abused the person "heavily", because beyond that we don't actually know what happened. We also don't know that the abuse that you're assuming happened was the predominant cause of her having a mental breakdown. The fact we never saw his mother with bruises, marks, or any other injuries suggest that him slapping her away was probably the extent of that. Granted, he did abuse Todoroki and we are shown that, so it's not like this means he's a great person. That said, it's not like he actually burned or permanently harmed Todoroki either, so maybe he was a lot more restrained than the light he's been painted in. I could probably argue more to this point, but I'll assume you're not a manga reader and leave it at that.
@darkflame7285 жыл бұрын
@@SolaticSyot Do you not know what mental abuse is or something? If you're crying to your mother and so shaken up about your kid just *looking* like someone that you burn them with bowling water than it's pretty safe to say she's being abused. -_-
@SolaticSyot5 жыл бұрын
@@darkflame728 The way your comment was worded didn't imply that you meant mental abuse. However, if that is what you mean then my apologies, sure I'd agree that she was under heavy mental abuse. I might not agree that Endeavor was actively abusing her mentally as much as the situation itself is inherently straining on her mental state. Really that's splitting hairs though, her reason for ending up in this situation is still on Endeavor in the first place. Also, here's a thought, it might seem counter to logic but she could have desired to protect and provide the best for her children. This in turn causes disdain for Endeavor, who is neglecting her and the children as well as abusing Shoto. Instability and these feelings towards Endeavor, seeing the traits in him appear in his children, twists her want to protect her children to something ugly. No actual physical or mental abuse is actually required, just someone mentally ill. In reality, it wouldn't even need to be that direct or obvious, sometimes people are just fucked in the head. Granted I'm not saying he didn't do anything at all to cause this, I'm just saying that your wording implies he did more than he probably did. You also could've said whether you're a manga reader or not.. I still don't know if I should be avoiding spoilers or not. Maybe I should just start throwing them out there, you know, out of spite. Asking me dumb rhetorical questions like if I know what mental abuse is.
@darkflame7285 жыл бұрын
@@SolaticSyot My comment had said "abused her heavily" this isn't an indication towards physical, which was on purpose cause from what we've seen it was likely both. No one would frame a scene like that and give us so little information unless it's to paint an example for what their whole relationship is like. It's on you that you assumed I only meant physical. As for my sarcastic comment, it's how I respond to people who aren't using their critical thinking skills. Lastly, I'll thank you for not spoiling anything. I'm not a manga reader and I hope that you're enough of an adult not to spoil it out of spite like a baby. The anime doesn't fully cover how bad Endeavor treated his family yet so I can understand why some anime only fans are trying to defend him but come on. It was heavily implied during the sports festival arc that Endeavor is an abuser. The reason Rei (Shoto's mom) even had the breakdown in the first place was because of Endeavor's treatment of her. Let's not forget the marriage was arranged between Endever and her family. She didn't get a choice. And we literally saw Shoto throwing up because Endeavor hit him. Yeah I know it was during training but Shoto was FIVE. And that's just what we've seen in the anime.

So like Gran Torinos powers are based off of intense speed and having a jumping off point, which is different than just running really fast. As a younger man, he had much stronger muscles and much more bone mass, but as he got older, that deteriorated. Also think of goku training in 10× gravity of vegita going 10000x gravity. If he slowly works his way up from 1% he will learn to excercise his body to handle it. Nope, Gran Torino does not have All for One. His quirk is about air he inhales can be expelled though his feet, making him fly around though short bursts. That's his Quirk! Jet!

Endeavor was a monster, but he is starting to figure out what was wrong with what he was doing. Unfortunately for him, he harmed his family so much, they may never truly forgive him.

Endevour is a Dedicated hero who lost his way cause of his drive to be the best. He is Terrible but cause he missed the point of his calling. The guy wouldn't be as bad if he had a wake up call about this but never had that

Endeavor is like Danzo, he is a good guy but he’s ways to make the good things are wrong, so that’s what it makes him a “bad guy” if you know what i mean.

Suraj has mastered the intro plug. 😤 I'm glad you guys love Gran Torino 😂 Kudos to Rana noticing the gains/ physical growth of the characters. I love Ochoco's choice, smart (Fight On! Fight On!). As for Shoto's father.. as we know now, the reason Todoroki's mother was put into the mental hospital is because Endeavor drove her to that point of a mental breakdown (rape, forced marriage, abusive relationship mentally + emotionally + physically, barely any ownership over her own children, etc). Even the sight of Endeavor's eyes on one side of her youngest child triggered her into an unstable frightened state. So just because Endeavor is the #2 hero doesn't mean he's a super awesome person. Being a hero is a job; a job the government gives to you - a job Endeavor earned. Someone can be all smiles with tons of rewards and high praise at work, yet abuse their wife and children at home like it's nothing. It's like for example, just because someone is a cop doesn't mean they're a great person who vows to serve & protect the citizens. Some get in that position and abuse their power. Crooked cops are real. Becoming a cop (or a school teacher, as another example) doesn't make you magically "non-racist / prejudice / non-terrible person", one can carry their shitty personality/beliefs over into their job life. Endeavor can easily say, "She's crazy!!" and the public and media will believe him because he's the #2 Hero.. but we all know the truth of what he does to his 'wife' and 'children'/'experiments' behind closed doors. That's what the author conveyed. Present day, we're now seeing Todoroki and his Mother communicate and work to heal each other and move forward from Endeavor into their new life. Endeavor being #2 is why Todoroki wants to learn what he can, he understands his father is #2 for a reason (skills, knowledge, great at being a hero). And to better understand his fire Quirk which his father is great at (he's able to maintain a fire beard without effort lol). For me, Endeavor is fun to watch in battle (you'll see _very_ soon), but that doesn't take anything away from him being a terrible human being.

I think that Deku didn’t have a microwave that turns in his home so anytime he thought of an ’egg in a microwave’, it was boiling too many microwaves (One For All) in a tiny egg (him) from staying in one spot. However, once he got the idea of the frozen pastry and a turning based microwave, he figured out how to cycle his quirk through his body to make it more manageable and do it where its more of a buff to up his stats than just an attack.

@The Normies He's not just focusing One For All to one part (like finger or hand) but he's spreading that power through his entire body so he can control it. With only that body and muscle, for now he can only control 5/100 of his power

And for Endeavor, he's a bad guy, and you must understand that in my hero society, Hero is just for a job. Its true that endeavor saving so many people, but he got the money and fame from doing that. That's why Hero Killer Stain doing what his doing

Shoto choose his dad's agency because his dad is the number 2 hero so it makes sense that he would choose a top heros agency so he can get the most experience
