The fight wasn't meant to be great, we all had expectations with the show which is why its so good, the fight was almost in a sense to put us in bakugo's shoes & come on guys y'all seen episode 10 they show the siblings there too but they're considered "failures" because todoroki is the only one to inherit both abilities equally

The fight wasn't ment to be great the reason why the episode was called Todoroki vs Bakugo was because they wanted to show their character development.. specially Todoroki after what Deku told him during the fight he wanted to figure things out before he used his left side but before he gets to that point he wants to rescue his mother and Bakugo wanted a fight with each giving their all cuz he acknowledges Deku now and he knows he has to become stronger the way they should Deku in his past was great cuz it goes to show that his aiming to the top and surpass everyone even Deku (which before he wouldn't have cared)

Btw the siblings were shown in episode 10 and the combination that Endeavor was looking for was half and half hence why todoroki is the favored child. If you look back at episode 10 the other sibling either had all white hair or all red and even todorokis sister in this episode only had a small amount of red. Todorokis half and half makes him the most powerful of them all.

I don't get why everyone seems so underwhelmed by this fight. I was so hyped from beginning to end, especially seeing todoroki start off so strong and bakugo still holding his own. Tons of action.

Watching a little too much dbz there.Regardless this was once again a great episode full of symbolism and character development. Just because its considered a shonen doesn't mean its practical. This show does a very good job at choosing the direction it wants to go

Shoto has at least three other siblings remember they mentioned in the flashback, but he's the only one that came out with both fire and ice that's why his father treated him differently and was harsh when training him.

Shouto has several siblings by the same mother, you see them in his flashback in the fight with deku. Endeavor was trying to breed the perfect hero, so naturally he wouldnt get it on the first try. the others probably only have one of their powers, so he probably doesnt hound them as much as he does shouto

I feel like I'm going to be echoing here but yeah, the fight is disappointing... it was that way jntentionally, we kind if feel how Bakugo felt. we are meant to get some introspective on the characters which is where everything interesting about this episode comes from. Todoroki can not hope to achieve greatness if he only uses half his power, demonstrated by how badly he lost to bakugo. but it's not like he can just overcome his feelings of resentment towards his father in an instant, he needs some sort of closure before he can really start his path as a hero. bakugo is upset because his victory wasn't a true victory. He wants to be the top hero, but how can he prove that if he beats people who are only half assing it... It's kind of the same sentiment Izuku felt... just angrier lol. also you need to watch after the credits it's so great haha

Fuyumi ((Todoroki's sister you saw in this episode)) has the same mom as Todoroki but only has ice powers. Todoroki has two other brothers from the same mom but they only have fire powers. Endeavours goal with Rei ((Todoroki's mom)) was to have the perfect child with both of their powers. After 3 failed attempts, Todoroki was the final product of what his father wanted. an interesting thing to point out is that all of todoroki's siblings have the same mother, BUT only he has the perfect meshing of both his mother and father's quirks. Though we don't know what their abilities are (maybe a steam quirk? Or boiling water quirk?), the assumption we can make is that Endeavor kept having kids until he eventually was given one with the combination he wanted. Kind of shitty tbh lol.
