So the Vigilantes manga is finished and is significantly shorter than the main series (133 chapters). If they decide to adapt the whole thing, it’ll probably be between 3-4 seasons As well, Vigilantes serves as a prequel to the main series (Horikoshi oversaw it)

Not sure on that, it could be worth 3 cours, so 39 episodes maybe. Because it’s been finished for a while they can smoosh 3-4 chapters per episode since a good amount of them are action heavy

@@JaniceMarieAudio they kept real quiet about this, and it could have been worked on secretly while they were doing season 7 and the 4th movie. So I think this is to fill that gap as they work on the final season of the main series. Studio Bones didn’t say non consecutive cours or nothing, so we really don’t know the episode count at the end of the day

Technically, he could make it work with just his feet but he'd be unstable. Think of it like moving with roller skates only instead of wheels you have one big ball under each foot or hand.

I haven't read the manga either, but I heard it is quite dark when in comparison with the original. While the original deconstructs the notion of hero and villain, the spin-off shows the struggles vigilantes face in a world where they are forbidden to be heroes because they are not licensed. One cool thing is that this pass a few years before the original, so we get the return of many heroes... Aizawa is still not a teacher at UA and a full-time hero... All Might is still with OFA... Endeavor is still how he was before his redemption arc... Ida's brother is still Inginium...

I’m actually very excited to see this show to see all might in his prime and all for one as well. I also saw it said that it will explore “illegal superhero’s” so basically vigilantes which I’m all for bc Deku being a vigilante for a time was great. A prequel series I’m very much looking forward to.

Without spoiling anything Koichi Haimawari's Quirk Slide and Glide allows him to project an attractive/repulsive force from his hands and feet allowing him to slide across surfaces by lightly repelling himself away from any surface so while he may not need both of his hands and feet to use Slide and Glide I assume that using all four helps with stability and speed.

From what I understand, according to KZbin. Vigilants is based in an alternative world that's a few years prior to when All Might met Midoriya or when he first fought AFO. Also, it has a lot of origin stories that we never seen from certain characters. Even for some villains.

Its not an alternative world, same world, the story is set between the fight between All Might and AFO that severely injures both, and the start of MHA, in that 5 year period

I'm so glad it's getting an anime! I'm almost finished with the manga so this will probably be the first anime I'll watch having read the manga beforehand! PS: The Vigilantes manga finished a few years ago, with Volume 15

Yeah so this spin off takes place in mha but its like a prequel to mha Which gives so many backstorys about so many characters like Stain, present mic, aizawa, midnight, Iidas brother, Shirokumo "Kurogiri". the story focuses on alot of these vigilantes and it also focuses on the Quirk Booster Drugs that are sometimes seen throughout the main series. when i first read this spin off i was 12 chapters in and already thought it was better than the entire of season 1 of mha. Vigilantes is so underrated. theres alot of the manga so we are getting 3-4 seasons whats even more fun is that we are getting vigilantes before the final season of mha so we are getting mha content to fill in the wait for the final season but also Vigilantes will most likely go on after mha has ended too

I have been wondering if this would get an anime for years. Come to think of it, it always had a slightly different art style than the main story but then again someone else drew it. That does make the characters look a bit younger, which helps.

Reading this series made much harder to bear the destinies of certain characters from the original because you get to know them even better. Aizawa and Present Mic, Midnight, Iida's Brother Ingenium, Tsukauchi and some others.The original characters are also very well written. Koichi is a much more interesting protagonist than Midoriya bacause he feels much more real. Knuckleduster is a very interesting mentor and a novel concept of a powerless hero in-universe (even tho he clearly is homaging Batman) and I can't wait to meet my favorite characters again, Cristopher Skyline and the villanous Number Six

I wouldn't say that Vigilanties is very dark. Although it does deal with mature subjects like drugs and has some body horror, a big chunk of it is slice of life.
