Gday, I can appreciate how much work is involved in each cylinder, there’s many hours of work and honestly I don’t believe I’d have the patience to make 8 of these, it’s a credit to you mate, this is a big job, thank you very much for sharing this and I’m looking forward to the updates, cheers

This is so awesome. Currently im 21, enjoy engines. I design small pneumatic engine that i make using basic hand tools and 3d printed plastic components. I want to get into casting and hope to have a shop like yours one day.

I will, but it will be quite boring when I make the next three cylinders so I will post shorter update videos until it's time for the heads.

Thanks for another great video! Why are you making the cylinder sleeves and valve seats? Can't they be purchased and modified as needed?
@Desmouffe
@Desmouffe Жыл бұрын
They can. For once it's actually cheaper to do them myself and it's my hobby. But the sleeves will be alot of work. I have only found a compact bar so the most of it will end up in the bin.

@@Desmouffe Make sleeves from ductile iron water/sewer pipes. I have used those in various projects, they are cheap or even free. Sometimes I even get paid to take them away.

Yes, I have thought of that but they come in standard sizes and none is right for my pistons

Almost no threads in the cylinder block. Only the valve cover M4 and the exhaust nipple. The casting went fine so I feel lucky.

I think maybe if I took 6 blocks from the 900 cc Predator V-twin series, possibly with some boring and stroking I could make a 421 C.I. V-12.... ~( 'w')/
