And honestly, if you think about it.. Even though you had a short MLB career, you were good enough to play in the same league as Babe Ruth, Ted Williams, Mickey Mantle, etc.. So you didn't have a Hall of Fame career, your name will always be in the books.. You were drafted first round and called up to the show for a reason.. You got to do something all of us can only dream of..

Hey Matt, just wanted to thank you for this throw. The Brewers went on to win this game 1-0 thanks to your throw, and then made the playoffs that year for the first time in my life by a single game. I also somehow managed to tear a muscle in my shoulder celebrating after game 162 that year, so you're partially responsible for that too.

Giles never had the power in San Diego. He did develop into a great lead off guy getting multiple walks per game.

It's amazing seeing you analyze your short stint in the majors and describing it. Goes to show how much of a journey it is to even get there, let alone flourish. Love your humility. Most people don't know the extreme difficulty it takes to make it to the show in the first place. They're all just "experts" because they listen to sports radio.

This is hilarious but all I can think of watching is how cool it is that you were in there with the big boys in the show! That is something else being able to play with and against some of the hugest stars in the game on the biggest stage. I appreciate what you do and still say you're one of my favorite players just because of your interaction. You played in the effing major leagues. I remember we had 2 guys that played on the local community college baseball team, they played 3rd and short on my rec league softball team, they were so much better than us...and that's community college. I have no idea how I landed here, but thank you for this video. I was there that day with my two daughters somewhere in section 439 about 20 feet from needing supplemental oxygen. I remember how loud the games were that year.

Fielder was my favorite brewer growing up. saw him in person a few times at fan fests but always just missed getting his auto. its such a shame he had to retire so early from neck injuries- would love to see him in todays mLb.

This was so cool to watch! I think you're underselling Ben Sheets a bit though! Dude was straight nasty at times. I remember watching Sportscenter one night as a kid in the early '00s and he had like 15+ Ks one game with his breaking ball in the dirt. Had so much movement on it. Was a Kerry Wood-esque game. Probably could have been a Cy Young winner in 2004 too

From the standpoint of taking the throw from a catcher on a steal attempt, how noticeable was the improvement in the throws as you progressed up each level? In both strength and accuracy.
