6:35 I use an old black sock to cover glass containers when rotting cuttings. Seems you could easily cover your Amazon self watering pots with a decorative cover pot that fits with your anesthetics. I use tap water for my 200 plants by storing it in gallon jugs (milk jugs or water jugs once empty) or juice containers (simply orange or simply apple 52 oz once empty). Because of quantity of plants, I have about 15 of the juice containers and about 8 gallon jugs. This allows the water to sit a few days before use. Thanks for sharing your Hoya Collection. I’ve been thinking my potting situation because I don’t want everything to be just plain boring cover pots. There are so many artists with amazing pottery and I’d love to collect some of their work. This is something I’m going to look into. I’ve heard that letting tap water sit for a while allows the chlorine to evaporate but I haven’t looked into it myself. I have to get into that method of saving jugs because it’s one less step when I have to do chores 😅 thank you for your tips 🙏🏼

I didn’t think about using tape !! But that is such a great idea!! I’m going to try that until I can transfer them to different pots. Thank you for tip 🫶🏼

I also learned about the orchid spray for Hoyas. I do it off and on. So far only 1 Hoya has flowered the lacunosa but the rest nothing.

I personally think that switching to a 20-20-20 fertilizer has done the trick for blooming. Right now, my Publicalyx, Wilbur Graves Silver and my anthuriums are flowing.

I’m glad you enjoyed it!! I do! It brings a little scoop with measurements and I used it as instructed. It’s like a 1/2 tbs per gallon

Yaaaay you used the 20-20-20! Glad that's working out for you. Do you have any recommendations for cute cover pots or pots that have water reservoir but no transparent situation to avoid algae?

Yes! My mom had been using the 20-20-20 with success so I grabbed me some! I have found some on Amazon but I haven’t purchased any. So far, I’m eyeing these for smaller plants amzn.to/44LAe79 and these for the larger ones amzn.to/3Zgo1WY

All you have to do with those self watering pots, is cover the little clear space on the pot so that the inside doesn’t get light. ❤ ur content
