My husband and I were like that!!! No leftovers!!! Guess what happened, he lost his job and we lost everything. We were saving condiment packets when our friends would treat us out. I have a relative who wouldn't eat leftovers. Eventually his wife stopped preparing new meals and just revamped the leftovers. So if it was meatloaf last night it was spaghetti in meat sauce today or some kind of soup or something. Then when she finally straight reheated whatever they had the previous night he was all like, "I don't eat leftovers!" and she advised him that he has been eating leftovers for the last 4 years! It's expensive and time consuming to make a brand new meal for every day and not use the left overs.

Than he should learn how to cook. If the husband is the one doing the cooking, I don't think he will be cooking fresh food everyday. Last week hubby cooked okra soup, stew and boiled some meat and dried in the oven. It lasts us for 1 week. Both of us work. Even if she is a house wife, it is hard. Some men are so mean and demanding for no reason 😕.

My Mom stayed home while my Dad worked...she is so proud of the home she kept. She prepared every meal fresh, kept the house clean, made sure my brother and I were always neat and well put together...she even ironed my Dad's clothes, made his coffee and packed his lunch everyday. I have no idea how she did it all but my family is blessed by her loving us all enough to do it. I love doing things for my sweetheart as well but we both work demanding jobs so leftovers and a couple meals out is a must for us. When I cook, I try new dishes he would love...ensuring he wants round 2 the next day. I also freeze anything beyond the 2nd day. It becomes a welcomed quick meal for another day. Early in our relationship I brought him in the kitchen with me. He sees the spices, gadgets, cookware, cookbooks, videos and ingredients I use. He looks forward to the times I do cook and he appreciates the effort.

Lamb put a 😃 smile on my face. He says no wife should be required to cook fresh meal every day. They should hire a cook or get take out. Amen
@vixlet91223 жыл бұрын
Oh My God! Coming to think about it; my mother cooked everyday when we were growing up. I'm a mum now and I don't cook everyday. Left overs is indeed a saviour so I can take breaks in the course of the week. I love you mum...100%

Most Jamaican woman cook fresh meals everyday except Monday and Friday- Fridays we normally eat out and on Monday we have leftovers what we call Sunday morning absolutely amazing
@anatasiamalcolm12493 жыл бұрын
Lol. Sunday Monday you ment!😉 and on Saturdays is soup day! Any kind, chicken foot, back, peas soup, anything! To the meat of the matter. That man better cook his own meal sometimes or help out alot in the kitchen. Sometimes left over food taste better than the fresh food that was made yesterday! For some reason. Idk!😅

My hubby is a picky eater, I offer this alternative when you cook a meal with say sauce, or soup/stew. Double the recipe, and freeze half of it, that way you can take and make a new dish. And since you never served it he can't call it leftovers.

For some strange reason leftover food does taste better than freshly made food. My fiancé have no problem with leftover food so I rel get through 😝
@charmcharm23523 жыл бұрын
I just wrote that somewhere!😂 and its most particularly soups, stews, sauces and gravies. My mom who is a chef said its because the seasonings and spices have had time to marinate and be absorbed into the meat and other solid ingredients. But yes I've proven this over and over, my chiles stews and soups? Man! They really be hitten on day 2...and 3😂😂

Revemping the left over meals is actually a great idea like Lamb did by adding something new to the left. Over freshly baked bread and hot chocolate is actually a smart. Idea and that left over dinner can be a nice addition to breakfast

Yeah brother I feel you 😊😊😊 it's COBS•• 🍞 and im with you all the way for better for worse keep appreciating the work which is done by farmers never,, never destroy the hard work done by farmers just by throwing away leftovers if they are still consumable even if it has gone bad just make a compost and help nature flourish that's the way of a TRUE African all the way from Zimbabwe
