My husband always asks me to cook this ofe akwu and he loves to eat it with rice. Ofe akwu is similar to Banga soup with a few diferences which I have highlighted in the video. Most Igbos love to eat Ofe Akwu with rice but I believe Ofe akwu can be eaten with both swallow (semo, pounded yam etc) and rice. Ofe akwu is also so delicious with yam.
Ingredients for Ofe Akwu
Palm kernal extract (extracted from 2 dericas of palm kernel)
1 small onions
4-6 scotch bonnet peppers
3 smoked fish
1 table spoon ogili okpei (Dawadawa)
Beef/kpomo/goat meat
Snail
Scent leaf/Effirin/Nchanwu
2 table spoons crayfish
meat stock
seasoning powder
salt to taste

your Jamaican girl here 👍 I have made banga soup before it's nice with rice, but my favorite is egusi soup and jollof rice for now since I haven't made eforiro soup and ogbono soup as yet,the ingredients online are expensive and very small in size
